Likes

The environment of the college is outstanding.
The teachers clears the concept very clearly
There is additional support for gate preparation.

Dislikes

The classrooms are not air conditioned so it feels very hot during summer.
Bench are lesser in class acording to the capacity of classroom.
It is mandatory to fulfill the criteria of 75% attendance.

Course Curriculum Overview

The placement report is much better than any other private college.Another reason is the college environment is free from ragging. The maths faculty of CSE is not so good.This college is affiliated by MAKAUT.

Internships Opportunities

Google, Microsoft, Amazon gives internships. Student gets internships as full stack developer, web development, data analytics, frontend developer, backend developer. The student got stipend around 20-30 thousand depends.

Placement Experience

From 4th year student got campus placement. Tata consultancy service, Wipro, cognizant,tech Mahindra are the major reqruter. Almost 100 percent student got placed. Highest placement is 2000000 per annum lowest 250000 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees is 104000. Admission fees extra 54000. First year total fees 158000. If you are student of west bengal you can apply for Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship. In this you will get 60000 yearly. Or you can apply any private scholarship college easily approved.

Campus Life

Arcadia is the annual fest it generally held in October or November. There is coding club, dancing club, music club. College has football team, basketball team, cricket team. Also there is indoor sports facility.

Admission

I have applied for Haldia Institute of technology and Academy of technology but I choose Academy of technology because of this college's high placement report of previous year. You can get this college through wbjee or through jee mains or through direct admission.

Faculty

1) Faculty to student ratio is almost okay. 2) Dr. Ramnarayan Mukherjee Dr. Soumya Chatterjee Niloy Ghosh are some great faculty members of the college. They are very friendly and cleared our doubt.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

Honest opinion about my college(AOT)

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More

I got this this from WBJEE , i wrote this exam and I score rank under 12 k in which our college has cutoff of 20k. I applied for the councelling of WBJEE and got selected in first round .
