Remarks

The college management is very strict regarding attendance and discipline. If you have shortage in attendance then you will not be allowed to sit in exam.

Entrance Preview

I took admission through AIEEE entrance.My all india rank was 15150. There are several college in kolkata but it is one of the best in its group. PCMT had an excellent record in placement from the very beginning. I had also discussed with some of the ex-student of this college and everyone told me to take admission in it.

Course Curriculum Overview

PCMT provide excellent facilities in every stream. The faculties were well experienced in their respective fields. They are very friendly and helpful.

Internships Opportunities

There are several companies came in our campus like,HCL,WIPRO,TCS,EMERSON,DELTA,ARDENT,BSNL and many more. I was selected for BSNL. I usually got 8000 as a stipend plus free accommodation.

Placement Experience

PCMT provides 100% placement to all of its students. They have a very good track record in it. Most of the students used to get more than one job offer.

Not only in studies but also in other fields like sports,fest various technical seminar PCMT is no 1.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a tie up with SBI bank. You can easily avail education loan with a very reasonable interest rate. There are also several scholarship available in our college like J.C Bose scholarship which one is given to needy students.

Campus Life

The campus life of PCMT is just awesome. The seniors were very much helpful. You can enjoy the hostel as well as college life very much as there are sports ground for both cricket and football. There are also cultural room for activities like debates,singing etc.

PCMT has separate hostel for boys and girls. Every room is well equipped with essential goods like table chair light fan etc. There are 24*7 electricity available in hostel. There were security guards in gate to block unauthorized entry of unknown perso

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
