Oldest private college in Odisha

Being the son of a Professor , I have been seeing this college deteriorate from being of the best ,to the times where it is on the verge of being bankrupt . Hopefully the management take proper control and takes it back to former glory .

Courses should have more of life value and life skills , rather than theory . More practical knowledge rather than mugging up formulas and theory and writing it down on paper . We have 8 semester in total in span of 4 years .

It has gotten really bad since years . Back in 2000-2008 it was one of the best colleges in Odisha . Had best placement . But these days except a few IT companies no other brand recruits . Well ther is off campus anyway .

There is not much . Because it located away from the main city . Not much there XUB college for business . A few events are organised there every now and then . And local events like the fair and stuff .

Compared to other private colleges its feasible . It is somewhat close to 1.05lakhs a year . Compared to 3lakhs a year for some well to do colleges . There are also tution fee waiver options for financial assistance to students too .

No currently i haven't availed any loan for my studies . But there is good discounts and offers from the state government , like TFW for financially weak families . So with aid like these from the government things become easier .

There are a few groups like the Aero group , the robotics group . I have been an active member of Aero group . This group generally works on UAVs(Unmanned ariel vehicles) . We have successfully completed 5-6 workshops.

No , from what i have heard hostel is good . Food is ok . And students are content . I personally have stayed in the hostel rooms many times . I liked them they are not clumsy . Have ample space and being away from the city there is fresh air cool breeze and mosquitoes too .

Senior students are helpful mostly but , but at my times some kinds or ragging was prevalent . I being a senior now strongly discourage such activities . But hopefully we will all grow together .

A few of them are good . The quality has degraded quite a bit since past few years. Earlier it used to be a premier institution . But now the teachers are bad the management is worse . No modern labs or infrastructure .
