Course Curriculum Overview

5

I don't see any problem in teaching or in course curriculum, i think for bca or any technical course it's perfect and there are amazing opportunities throughout your college time and exams timing and everything is perfect but yeah you have to study for your exam and if you do so you will love the exam system of Amity.

Internships Opportunities

4

The university do provide interships after 1st year which are very nice . There are both paid and unpaid internships which can boots your cv 10x times . And there are mostly paid interships. The intership program of Amity University Noida is very nice.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are not very nice but they are good sometimes there are very big companies like Google , Microsoft, Adobe etc in campus and sometimes it's like average companies like HCL , TCS etc and what I personally believe is the university's work is to provide company to their students which amity noida is doing very well. But your placement mostly depends on you because if there's a big company it will see your skills and resume and then only one will get selected from 1000 students because of the student's quality.

Fees and Financial Aid

1st sem fees :- 112000 + 20000 refundable security 2nd sem fees :- 112000 There's also a 5% increment in fees every year. 3rd sem fees :- 118000 4th sem fees :- 118000 5th sem fees :- 124000 6th sem fees :- 124000 For hostels :- 94600 is for non AC hostels And 174600 is for AC hostel Food is not included in both Plus one time refundable 15000 security.

Campus Life

5

I really love the campus life and environment which I can't explain in words and i personally love the library also which is a 3 stories big building where you can almost find any book . And evey week there's a new opportunity, event or competition like hackathons, treasure the hunt etc with amazing prizes including cash prizes too. And the university also provide a wide range of sports like swimming, badminton, basketball, tennis , kho kho , rugby , football, cricket, etc the list can go on and the amazing thing is you don't have to pay anything extra for it.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel facility is not very bad but it's also not very good it's bit average, I opted hostel for only one reason because I was new here in this city completely unknown to it. And now I personally advice anyone thinking to come to amity to take a pg outside the campus it will be 10X better.

Admission

I chose amity noida because I did research and I found out that amity noida is ranked 7th in India in bca , but it's expensive and i was not willing to go to a government college or other top 4-5 ranked private colleges which are mostly located in Bangalore because it will be very far for me as I have my family in Rajasthan, so basically if you don't have a financial problem and want to pursue bca from a private university you can definitely choose amity and they do admission on merit basis and also conduct a private interview

Faculty

5

Faculty here are very friendly and nice although there are some useless faculty with a rude nature but maximum teachers are very friendly and nice in teaching. The exams system is very good as they focus more on your intelligence because they prefer practical over theoretical exams and also focus more on extra curriculum activities. And there is new competition or opportunity for you every day.

Other Applied Colleges

Galgotias University - [GU] | Bachelor of Computer Applications [BCA]

Amity is better than this in every aspect.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.

Talk about why I choose BCA I want to become a software engineer and many people in my family have placed on good posts after being inspired by them, I chose this course. All Faculties are good and everyone has a lot of experience in their work also support students. Faculty qualification is best and their way of teaching and explaining is also good. Mid-term exams are very good and they are also very tough.
