Likes
- In infrastructure I like our quadrangle which is in the middle of the college, it's like the stage and open space where small programs takes place and most of the sports is played there itself.
- The faculties are very supportive and are always available in department
- The college library is a huge one to be honest with wifi facilities to help in research work and other studies
Dislikes
- Basically our college is small compared to other colleges and it is quite a bit old infrastructure as it is built in 90s , I personally don't like the auditorium as it is a bit too old
- Big classes are taught mechanically. That is, they are a lot more boring than smaller classes that I’ve taken.
- Timings The college starts at 8:00am and it is a little difficult for students who come from distance places to attend the college on time
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is set in such a manner that it should involve students in practical and theoretical manner it helps the students to reach out easier the faculties are very cooperative and parctical oriented teaching is adopted by them
Internships Opportunities
The first major on-campus internship happens at the beginning of the 5th semester, where 35 to 40 students out of a batch of 150 got the on-campus internship. There are three recruiters: Fidelity, Dell, and Boeing. Fidelity is the main recruiter, while Dell primarily recruits girls.
Placement Experience
I'm still in 2 nd year so i haven't appied to any internships but planning to apply in my 5th Or 6 th sem and the placement drive start in the 6 th sem. I'm actually planning to pursue my masters degree after the completion of my engineering. Eligibility for placements are having zero backlogs and about 7 to 8 cgpa for an average company, however the eligibility criteria vary for different companies. Recently boaing company visited our collage, Bosch comes to our college and many more companies. Average package offered is about 4-6 LPA but highest placed is 46LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is yearwise and everything is included in the annual fees . The 1.5 lakh fees is for OBC and the general category fees is a bit higher (1.75 lakhs ). There are many scholarships available both goverment aided and private but we have to apply them ourselves
Campus Life
Thought our campus was compact. 30+ active clubs conduct events and competitions regularly We have well established library common library and an additional department library Sports are less active in our college Other cultural activities-based clubs provide students with a platform to showcase their skills I’m a part of node.ai clubs and shuttered BIT
Admission
I was not selected for any iit or nit so i started looking for private college , this college is in top 5 college private in btech of karnataka. If you are not from home state then comedk is the only way to get admission first you have to give a mcq paper then you are alloted a rank based on marks, then you have to appear for online counselling with your rank
Faculty
Overall the course curriculum seems nice. There are experienced faculties who we came across and they have good knowledge and expertise in their disciplines. That being said exams are conducted 1 month after the sem starts also known as internals which are nothing but college-level exams, talking about the difficulty level it just depends on your preparation, to be honest.
