I was very passionate about doing something for india in area of food . All we all know india is among top countries in global hunger index, most Indian appear to malnutritioned. So I want to do something in this area that's why i choose food processing engineering . This course teach us to tackle real world problems like food preservation, processing the food without damaging its nutritional content. I areas of improvement i would like to suggest is that there should be more practicality in way of teaching. Exam happens twice a semester and Level is moderate.

Companies like sail , Tata motors, etc offers internship for junior engineer rool . Students stipend around 10k to 15k for 3 month internship. Project like nuances of steel making are used to done during internship.

6th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement . Companies like google , Microsoft, facebook, Wipro, nestle, amul, grow etc visited and they made around 980 offers . Highest package got is 83.6 lpa and average package is 13.89 lpa. Percentage of students getting placements is 84percent. My plane doing something big in core .

Anual and technical festival include innovation which happens in November, cosmopolitan which happens in October, other like vridhi ,nitruraav also happens after mid sems in aug sept . We have quite large library Biju Patnaik centeral library which contains a huge number and variety of books which everyone can excess. Class have centralised ac, power monitor, projector etc . Sports like cricket, badminton, hockey, basketball, swimming, lawn tennis etc are offered in campus. students a club called voice of voiceless which offer treatment to animals like dog, cat etc in need .

Room has one fan, onw tubelight, 24hr electricity,24h WiFi connection with speed upto 200mbps. Food is quite good and menu is diversified with both veg and non veg options. You will be allotted hostal once your admission process is over. Hostal are quite affordable. Hostal fee os only 5000 fir 6 moths. No i live in hostel i nerver rented a room or pg.

I chose this college because nit Rourkela is the only national institute of technology that provides this course (BTech in food processing engineering). Since this was the only college providing this degree i did not applied for other college and faced no rejection. Admission take place threw qualifying jee main examination. eligibility includes 12 pass or one year gap between 12th passing yr and appearing yr of jee main.

There are more than 330 faculty on 7700 students which is very fair students to faculty ratio. I like my bio professor mr vivek . I like hime because he make hard concepts understable. I do not like my maths professor mr anil kumar because he cut Marks unnessary in examinations. For one semester there are two examination 1 mid sem and 2 end sem . It you listin to professor in class it would be very easy for you to score good . Very few students like one or two fails to clear examination. Cource curriculum is quite relevant for industry.
