Likes
- There are many cultural clubs. Seniors encourage us more to participate in all the clubs whether they are cultural or technical or sports.
- Here all the fests are celebrating very well.
Dislikes
- If you are a south Indian then you can't eat the food here.
- There are many dogs in the campus, they even enter your hostel.
- Expected better infrastructure but not reached expectations.
Course Curriculum Overview
I like chemistry and this chemical field so I took it. In our branch every thing is really applicable to daily life. From morning to night of any person every thing that a person use is related to our branch I think they should choose some best faculty to teach a subject. There are like 2 months gap between our exams
Internships Opportunities
As a 1st year I don't know much about internships but Amazon, Microsoft, Google offered some nice and full time jobs to students here. Industrial scale up of biodegradable, non polymer super hydrophilic jute fabric exhibiting excellent water repellency and stiffness for shopping/hand bag products is a project name.
Placement Experience
Few get it from 3rd year and others from 4rth year. A total of 254 companies offered jobs some were Tata, newzera tech labs pvt. Ltd etc. 1054 job offers were made last year and 11 international job offers too. About 70% of btech students are getting placed. After getting a degree I will be doing a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees I will be paying is 1,54,850 with hostel fees. I don't get any category fees. my batchmates are also oc so they also pay total fees which I mentioned above. I have applied for few scholarships but they are still in progress.
Campus Life
There are 3 fests that are celebrated hugely here. 1st one is concetto which is held in October. 2nd one is khanan is also celebrated in October. And parakram which is celebrated in March. Our campus Library is one of the biggest library in Asia. There are wide range of books. All types of sports and extracurricular activities are offered in our college like badminton, volleyball, basketball swimming etc and dance club, music club, photography club, art club etc.
Hostel Facilities
Our room is shared by three people including me. Our rooms are big. We have common washrooms. We have 2 big windows in every room for ventilation. A study table with chair are provided. Each one has one wardrobe. Meal quality is good. But as a south indian taste is not ok. Registration is pretty simple full few forms and complete. I don't rent any room.
Admission
I wrote few entrance exams for different colleges. But I always wanted to be a IITian so I joined here in IIT ISM DHANBAD. I wrote for LPU, KL University, VIT and amritha . I didn't get any rejections I got selected in all the entrance exams. One has to be qualified in jee advanced to be in any IIT cutoff for general category is around 108 out off 360 marks
Faculty
There are many professor's they all are very friendly and easy to approach. Our branch faculties are great with us. My favourite sir is also out branch faculty. I like him because he manages everything greatly. I don't like my computer programming faculty cause he don't explain well. We have 6 exams they are pretty easy if you prepare well.
