REALITY OF GIETU GUNUPUR

Our college courriculum is little old school as it gives importance in java,advance java and kotlin ,python . They have made compulsory subjects like introduction to data science for our 3rd sem but it is without any practical lab as data science domain has a different branch.

recently our college has collabed with internshala to give internships and courses. More than internships they provide paid courses and all.so they release courses according to their convenience which is not also taken by own college students at mass level. College students prefer doing internships other than the college ones!

Placements in our college from past few years are not good . Ed tech companies are coming and taking up students and removing students from job after 6 months.But as i am close with the fourth year students in my college i came to know that only sales and ed tech companies are coming for recruitement and it is fraustrating as a cse student to learn cse technologies and get recruite to sell coures in a edtech company then get fired.

My college fees is total 2,70,000 per year where the hostel charge is included as 80,000 per year within the fees. So per semester my fees is 135000 with hostel charges. Rest per sem you have to pay 1500 registration fees and 1000 for end semester exam fees.

Mindset of people here is way worse they are psychs .They cant tolerate a girl being friend with a boy or vice versa . Locality here very strange .But still as i am a student i am here to survive .Clubs here are not worth it not even a single one . like the clubs do workshop only for 2 days like really ? they teach python for 2 days which takes atleast 3 months .so every workshop is basic .

Hostel facility is not good at all .they only provide a bed ,self and chair and table like which is very small to adjust . it is very irritating struggling with basic stuff . They put fines for kettle , coolers and all . Like we need collers because the walls are not good they are broken as they are old .So it is quite hot to live here in summers.Mess is not good according to the fees as they do not provide good food.

Actually i was a covid batch 12th passout . So at my time i got my drop year for only 3 months to first attempt as nta held the exams early for jee mains .So i couldnot prepare well for first attempt .As a general category male student i dont have reservation facilites with low percentile so i ended up choosing private colleges like lpu,cv raman, iter and giet branches .for my choices lpu was good because of its alumni networks clubs and the community it has .Comapred to lpu my college lacks in study purposes .And i believe the clubs of lpu is better than giet .

currently iam in 2nd year {3rd sem} so here i got to know about the teacher student ratio as 1 teacher is teaching 2 sections for core subjects like dbms and java . Like 1 teacher is teaching 120 students. It is frustrating to study those classes but atleast we are better than our 3rd year students as due to unavailabilty of faculty online classes are going on. But still there are some gem faculties if you reach out to them they will surely help you out .But you wont get guidance and help at the moment you want as the teacher also doing 12 hour work.
