VIT reality chennai edition

The curriculum designed for my course aligns a lot with the aim of my branch . It's main application are where electrical and computer science both are applicable like electric vehicles . The theory needed for exams doesn't prepares for real - world applications but the labs and self practice apart from college studies are needed by a student if they want to leverage their skills . Timings are 1.5 hrs for mid sems and 3 hrs for final assessment.

I haven't done any internship yet but VIT do provides internships at their own V-nest which supports and funds startups . Projects and research are available all time, all you need is a good faculty and your interest . Hackathons are also held several times .

Till last year the placements were fine but now as AI has arrived , Layoffs are constant . One need to be hughly skilful to survive . Mediocrity wouldn't work . From 4th year students become eligible for in campus placements . This year only 40% got the placements due to the same reason .

Yearly fees depends upon the category you get at VUTEEE Counselling. I got Category 3 , so my tuition fees is ?405000 .It does not increase or decrease with time .So the fees for the complete course will be ?1620000 for 4 years . If you have scored well in 12th boards you can apply for scholarship.

The curriculum focuses only on studies but your involvement into clubs and societies .. builds your overall development. Many facilities are available like for sports , library , labs , clubs and many more only thing is to manage time to access them .There is annual Tech fest called TechnoVIT and annual cultural fest called Vibrance. Meanwhile a lot of activities take place which are organised by different clubs and societies specially at the time of festivals .

Hostel rooms are nice , regular cleaning is there. Washrooms are also clean mostly , workers do it twice / thrice a day . You won't be allowed to get out of the hostel until you seek permission from your parents and proctor . Moreover there's allowed time of 6 Hours maximum for outings . Hostel services are affordable and good , Mess is not as great as home but survivable .There is hostel affidavit that needs to be submitted before applying for it .

I applied for LPU , UPES , Amity , Galgotias and several other universities but all these universities didn't serve the quality as served by VIT, so I went for it . On the other hand there are disadvantages as well , travelling expences add up a lot . Sometimes you regret your decision if things dont go well . After giving VITEEE , one can get into any branch of VIT . Eligibility is 75% above in 12th boards and with PCM . Admission procedure you'll be receiving via mails once the results are declared . There is not much discrepancy in the results .

The number of faculties are approx 40% to the number of students , they are very friendly and helpful.. some are exceptional but mostly the faculties are good . Pritam Bhowmik, Surat Ghosh , Sandeep Kumar Das , Angeline Ezhilarasi are some of my favourite faculties who have taught me . There are 2 mid Sem and 1 final assessment test . And meanwhile there are DA's , practicals , periodic assessments . So it's kinda hectic if student is not regular into studies .
