Life at SGT university

The curriculum to the course BSC(h) statistics and data science is apt as per the guidelines. Students are taught well and all the necessary topics including programming labs where they learn different languages. Students are encouraged to gain more practical knowledge by offering internships and organising webinars and live classes with eminent speakers from the domain. Apart from this, hackathon , aictce bootcamp are organised to enhance students skills and award them with cash prizes.

Recently, forensic students are provided internships under SFS and RFSL for a month in jaipur. Students of fashion design are given internships under prominent and most professional designers. Medical students are offered paid internships at SGT hospitals along with hands - on training under great doctors

Students are provided placement opportunities in 5th semester. Large MNCs and companies visit the campus to hire skillful minds . Apart from this the university offers placements on campus itself. Medical students are given part time jobs as well in the SGT hospital only. Dentists, ayurveda doctors, pharmacists, physiotherapists works with doctors and gain real life experience and knowledge.

SGT being a private university offers courses with affordable fee structure. Besides this, scholarships and financial aids are provided to the students belonging from reserves categories. Scholarships are provided to the students based on their marks in 12th class and extra 5% is awarded to a girl student. The total fees of BSC in data science is 90000 per year which is given semester wise i.e, 45000 per semester. Apart from this, transportation fees depends on the route . SGT buses provides pick and drop all over Delhi NCR. An extra amount of Rs. 10,000 is paid as security at the time of admission which is refunded on completion of course.

Holi fest and diwali fest are the major attractions at SGT university. Others fests like teej fest, women's day, basant utsav and so on are great too. Apart from this, the most large scale tech fest - SYNERGY organised every year experience the footfall of more than 80000 . Different schools and colleges participate in the fest and are rewarded too with the eminent cash prizes. Social clubs like tuskers which empowers students to enhace their vocal skills and present themselves via communication skills , prabandhan which encourages students management skills by organising small scale and large scale fests, chitradhar that promotes creativity within students , alankar , pehchaan and many more. Students can also participate and attend dance clubs be it classical or western dance societies

In the first round of CUET , i was alloted shree guru gobind singh college of commerce,DU with course bsc(hons.) computer science . But then i was planning to go abroad for further education which cancelled at the last moment . I wanted to pursue Data science since my 11th class and that was only available in SGT university at the UG level. During admission , i was asked about my 12th grade and scores to which i was awarded 55% scholarship too. Admission in btech or medical courses are done by considering jee and neet exam scores respectively at preference

The faculty to student ration in SGT is 1:10 . SGT university offers around 160 courses with 18+ faculties and placement rate of around 85%. Exams are held depending upon the course being semester wise or yearly . Elective subjects such as MGEC, VASE, AECC are provided to the students of their choice so that they can study what they want apart from their domain. Students are required to maintain 75% attendance in order to give the exam and need to qualify the passing criteria or else would have to give re-appear exam . The curriculum of the course is well defined and are taught according to the number of credits alloted by UGC. Study materials are provided to the students either in the form of books , ppts , handwritten notes , or references from library.
