Faculty is all doctorates and highly educated from government seats
No issues are created regarding holidays all government holidays are given to you
Main point is it is a government university very healthy atmosphere

Dislikes

Space is quite less. Campus space is less for engineering branch

Course Curriculum Overview

Everything is very up-to-date. Smart boards are used. Activities are done and functions take place in the auditorium. The timing of exams is also fine, but they give a little less time for preparation for the semester exams. That is the hard part, but I guess that is what engineering is all about.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements are little weak, honestly, but computer science and IT departments. Get really good placements. Even in campus and off campus are records have gone up to 30,00,00 of campuses are way easier than on campus, but companies do come to this university.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is paid semester wise. Per semester fees may vary from 40000-60000. Reservation kids get extra concessions on their fees. Various offers are provided such as caste reservation Kashmiri quota reservation meritorious girl single girl child and many more. Overall it may be expensive but the university is government and is a very gud one.

Campus Life

There are various clubs present in the university, but sometimes the politics can be involved and the point is different clubs include eco club speaking club management club student council, dance club, Music club, Dramaaaa club filmmaking club for social cultural activities. This college is really good and sports meet an annual function takes place every year.

Admission

I do this college because of the atmosphere and because of the governance of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh University is the best in the entire state and is a state University. The cut-off were fine and it provided a Kashmiri Kota as well so my seat was pretty much confirmed.

Faculty

Exam is taken by the university itself in some exam Centre exam, difficulty is normal for non-medical students, not very hard, not very easy, but many students failed to clear the examination the best part faculties are very well, educated and very cooperative overall

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
