Remarks

They should give classes more than 2montgs. As honors courses couldn’t complete in 2months only.also they have to arrange sone sports activity for students atleast once a year. And they should try to provide accomodation for outsider those dont live in delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

There is no curriculum in SOL. But they give extra classes for course study. And exams happen once in every year. And per subject you need to give only one exam. There is no project work. You just need to focus on case study.

Placement Experience

0.5

SOL doesn’t provide any placement or any internship. But after studying with SOL , if you good marks in your graduation then you can get job easily anywhere. Because job depends on skills not on college base.

College Events

0.5

Nothing , As its School Of Open Learning and as the name says you no need to take classes whole year. They just give classes in 2 months i.e. in december and january. Those classes scheduled in a particular college at the time of that college holidays.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its not too expensive. Because you no need to pay monthly fee. You are just paying examination fee. Also study material is free. So, tgey are charging minimal amount of fee i.e. only examination fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

There fee structure is too low so there is no requirement of loan or scholarship. and even they dont give these kind of facility. But they do charge less amount from SC or Obc Category. As well as they charge only for exams.

Campus Life

3

Nothing happens in SOL. As it is open learning. So, you are just enrolling yourself. After a year completion you need to just give exams. They dont give lab works, sports or extracurricular activity.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

There is no regular classes as well as no hostel facility. Because it is open learning. You are studying from home. And they gave classes only 2 months thats in december snd january. So, there is nonrequirement of hostel. But if you are a outsider then you need to arrange your accomodation by uourself.

Alumni/Alumna

Nothing to say for alumni network as well as senior students. Because they dont give regular classes. So, you dont have that much of network. All you found in extra classes of 2 months. In that senior students help little bit.

Faculty

5

Facultyis good. As given extra classes can be scheduled in any near colleges. They have selected best colleges for classes. Like kirori mal college , khalsa college etc. I have took classes in kirori mal college and there faculty was awesome.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
