- The infrastructure is amazing. It's filled with lush and green environment which provides positivity
- Mcc is known for its culturals. Each department and each hall has their own cultural event every year. The college has various clubs.
- The campus life is worth it, students would be able to mingle with students all over India.
Dislikes
- The canteen food is not not up to the mark. The current student council are trying to resolve the issues
- Most of the cultural activities are reserved for hall students
- Lack of network in the campus. It's difficult to check bio metric attendance since the server is usually down
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum for history vocational is fully based on theory. It's better if we had field works and study tours. Most of the subject are spoon fed, everyone relies upon the last year question paper available in the library.
Internships Opportunities
There is MCC MRF innovation marks where several internships are offered for students from all the department but most of them aren't paid but certificate might be provided and that can be added into your CV
Fees and Financial Aid
The history department is made up of two batches. History Regular ( Theory ) and History Vocational Archeology and Museology. Regular students come under aided, therefore they have to pay only a certain amount of money that wouldn't exceed 20,000. The Vocational students have to pay 42,000 for the first semester during enrollment since it is a vocational course and it comes under the management. The fees are paid semester wise. For each semester the amount varies. For example I had to pay 15,000 in the second semester and 35,000 for the third semester.
Campus Life
There are several clubs like theatre no 59 for people interested in drama, Inkwell for people who are keen in writing. Srucb society and wild life conservation clubs takes care of the college floral and fauna along with NSS and NCC. Each department has their own cultural event along with inter and intra sports day. Every year college auditions would be conducted for selecting the team to represent college for each event.
Admission
I applied to Sacred hearts college, CMS college, Maharajas College, and St Teresa's College. I got into every college I applied but the reason the choose MCC is because of the legacy and reputation of the college. The rich history and campus life I've heard about this college made me enroll here. The admission procedure is done online through the college website. For UG there is no need of any entrance exam since students are admitted based on the marks they secured in 12th standard. Once the short list is uploaded in the college website, students are called to the college for document verification.
Faculty
The college has a mentor mentee system which is helpful in interacting with the professor regarding academic as well as personal matters. The faculty is approachable. There are three internal examinations out of which one is innovative that helps the students to boost their marks in a creative way.
