- the freedom you get here is next level , you can do what ever you want
- you can keep your bike or Scotty from 2nd year onwards
- no restriction on hostels for both boys and girls
Dislikes
- its an open campus , so some safety issues are there
- due to open campus to much crowded and some times we just annoyed
- less facilities compare to other IIT , like hostels and college infrastructure
Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum are the top notch since it's papred by the top faculty of India . IIT-BHU , Varanasi is well eastablished name in among the engineering college . students from here are doing excellent in there fileds .
Internships Opportunities
more then 50% students get on campus opportunity for internship . rest applied off campus. research intern are also availabe , student get opportunity to do intern in university of France , Germany , Canada , Australia like countries
Placement Experience
very good in past , but from last 2 years its not that good . earlyer our avg pacakge for the college was 16/17 lpa but now its droped to 12/13 lpa even some stuents get unplaced , so scenes are not good right now but chances of improvememt are high
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise Fee structure (per sem in rupees) 1) Tuition fee: 100000 2) mess fee: 15000 3) academic fee : 6000-6500 For sc/st students . there is a waiver on the 100000 tuition fee and they are required to pay the same amount for mess and academic feesn. Scholarship and Financial Aid 1) merit scholarship by state and central govt 2) other NGO merit scholarship 3) test based scholarrship
Campus Life
too good , had a great life till now . enjoying IIT life . the cultural fest , tech fest , sport fest give you the life . academic pressure is too low. you can get enough amount of time to exlpore no restriction on bike and scooty
Hostel Facilities
old hostel are quit horrifying but the new ones are too good . we have 3 newly constructed boys hostel with good facilities , each can accomodate from 1200 to 1500 studnets . you can get lifts also . for girls the hostel are too good , they get balcony attach to each room >
Admission
open campus , we have one of the largest campus with open campus facility . No restrciton on timing , no academic pressure , having good relationship with your acdemic and as well as your personal growth . you get enough time to learn new skilss or can improve yoour skilss .
Faculty
The faculty student ratio is near about near 18:1 . i.e for every 18 students only one faculty ( in Btech level) . the faculty are very helpfull , but ya some faculty are too rude . About exams - In B Tech we have 8 sem Sem wise details : 1) two main exam , one mid sem carrying 30-40 marks and end sem of 50 marks . twe get 2 hour for mid sem and 3 hour for end sem exam. and the paper patterns depends upon the prof . 2) we have some quiz / assingment or ppt presentation in the class as a assingment question paper will fully based on the topic that were taught in the class
