Jadavpur University - a college of dreams

Now only negative feedback about the college is its infrastructure ,founded in 1905 it certainly possesses the same kind of infrastructure that it earlier had. Various kinds of reforms are required to be there which are happening but little slowly as fund from the central government is 0 and it runs from the fund only provided by the state government which is itself not very big but a little improvement is seen and more improvement is required to be there.

Course curriculum is same as in IITs and everyone knows they are the best. Exam Structure for a Semester : For non-lab subjects: 1. 1st Internal Exam :15% 2. 2nd Internal Exam: 15% 3. Semester Exam: 70% For lab subjects: 1. Practical Copy :50% 2. Viva:30% 3. Attendance : 20%

Placements and job opportunities are very good average package of the campus is almost 5 lakh per annum across 16 departments of is the highest is of Computer Science and Engineering department which is almost 19 lakh per annum that's a very striking figure. Test for internship, various interviews are taken in the third year. Recently one of my seniors is selected for internship in TATA STEEL . Many reputed companies like Goldman Sachs, Tata Steel, L&T , Adobe, etc come here for interviews for placements and internship. For internship stipend varies across companies.

1. Srijan Techfest : It is the official techfest of Jadavpur University. Many kinds of competitions happen here like Business Plan, Treasure Hunt, Various Robotics Competition, and nights where performers from across India come. Various awards are given to the winner ones. 2. Sanskriti Culturalfest: Jadavpur carries its own culture within itself and to exhibit this , Sanskriti is over there. Performers from various colleges of India come here to take part in singing, dancing ,band competitions. After competitions reputed guest performers come to make our night a memorable one. Besides these two fests, every department helds its own Departmental fest in which various competition are organised.

Fee structure is very much feasible as it is absolutely the lowest in whole India which is only approximately 12000 INR for 4 years of Bachelor degree. In the counselling first it takes 5000 INR and after that you have to given 710 INR at the time of admission and that's the fees for your initial 2 years of Engineering.

Since its fees is very less most of the students do not require any loan to take in order to be sufficient for getting admission there but if you are unable to give its fees then you may opt for loans for that u need to collect few documents from MR section which you can get easily go to any bank for getting loan. It also supports student which are not able to give their fees as it refund the whole money which it takes as per the economic status of the students.

There are lab facilities and sports events also occur there for example U Turn event and Arena event are organised which are basically Sports event an organised in a very interesting manner. Various departments are invited to participate across the other department and there is a cup for the department which final event overall in all the sports. There are also Labs which occurs during the semester. Relapse are well equipped with modern technology, machines etc.

Alumni network is very helpful as it helps in the placement of students in the final year and also for internship and also give scholarship to various students as per the fund they collect themselves. Jadavpur University is blessed with such alumni network and is one of the most active one across whole India. Seniors too are very helpful and they guide us through various stages and provide us with various kind of study material and various requirement things needed there they also provide house with suggestions that are live worthy.

Faculties are of very good qualifications generally they are from Jadavpur University and some are from IITs as well. They possess a very good culture in themselves of clearing individual doubts. They are very helpful even they provide their mobile number to student for clearing doubts. They treat the students in a very good manner and understand them. They are very honest and obedient. Besides teaching they also teach good habits and cultivate the culture of Jadavpur University that is eternal.
