Course Curriculum Overview

2

Well the teaching methods are good I would say, but not best. The workshops and labs are very good. In this college you will struggle to get marks but definitely you will learn about everything, which will help you in your professional life. The only thing which is wrong with this college is the exams. As I previously mentioned, the difficulty level is too high. I'm form EE department, it's one of the toughest subject in engeneering, but the faculties are good enough to teach you and help you to learn.

Internships Opportunities

1

The college provides internship facilities, but it's not that good, I would say worst. Very few companies come for internships like TCS and Infosys, but the salary for internships is very very low. You have to work like a coal mine labour, but you won't get paid enough.

Placement Experience

3

The placement rates are very good here. Students will become eligible for campus placements after 6th semester. TCS and Infosys are the giant companies here, which takes most of the students. Among with them BMW, Amazon and many more renowned companies offer campus placements. More than 97% students get placement offers, but the packages are very low, around 3-3.6 LPA. I am planning to get a Government job though GATE after getting the degree form here.

Fees and Financial Aid

Here the fees structure is a bit complicated. I took admission in 2024 and my admission fee was 106400 rupees. Basically 100000 for admission, 5000 for WBJEE seat allotment and 1400 for ARCADIA(The cultural fest of AOT). And after taking admission, I'm paying 52000 rupees for each semester. Here you have to remember that the fees structure is increasing every year. For example years ago, the total admission fee was around 72000 rupees, now it has increased to more than a lakh. The semester fees has also increased. But I can asure you that this college is worth to pay. The faculty is well experienced, placement rates are amazing, the campus looks great and most importantly it's totally ragging free. You can also get all type of scholarships here like SVMCM and etcetera. The college also offers you the facilities of student credit card.

Campus Life

4

There are to many events, but among them the main one is ARCADIA, which happens once a year. The event is great. The library of this college is average, you will get all the books for semester exams, but there is very few extra books, but you can get the facility of eLibrary. The classrooms are great and clean. There are so many clubs like music club, sports club, drawing clubs and etcetera.

Admission

My WBJEE rank was so high, so that I couldn't get any government college. I tried for JU, UIT Bardwan, Kalyani engeneering college, but because of my rank, I couldn't get them. But among private colleges, definitely this college is one of the best in West Bengal, so I decided to choose it. The placement rate of this college is very high compared to other government and private colleges in West Bengal.

Faculty

2

So as I mentioned before, the faculties are great and best in class. They are friendly, as well as strict. You will definitely get help form them. They are very nice, at the same time very rude. I am form EE department, and I can confirm that the faculties of this department is best. My favourites are BB sir(EE), SKD sir (EE), DG sir (Chemistry) and SNDS mam(Math). But there are Rahul (Chemistry lab assistant) and AS sir(Chemistry teacher), they are very rude, not friendly and helpful at all. They just focus on reading, not learning. And their way of teaching is extremely bad. At last, the semester exams, For Btech, there will be 8 semesters, you have to pay 52k for each semester. The question pattern is set by MAKAUT, which is worst. The standard of questions is sometimes very high and sometimes very very very high. Definitely the questions aren't student friendly. You have to work so hard to get 8 CGPA, forget about 9.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
