My College Experience

Overall I had a very positive experience in my college. Now I am about to graduate but I feel a little sad because I gonna miss these days very much. I had a great time this past 3 years I learned a lot not only educationally but morally as a person. I couldn't have a better college than Dahanukar.

Well, B.com is a basic course which is done by the majority of commerce students in which you get to learn about accounts, economics, and finance. It is divided into 6 semesters which are too complete in 3 years. There are 6-7 subjects every semester for which there is a written paper of 100 marks out of which 40 is the passing marks as per the new Mumbai University rules.

There were a few Job placements in my college about a month ago. There were interviews from companies for students through which they were selected for the job but I didn't want a job this earlier not until I complete my post-graduation.

Following are the events celebrated in my college Cultural day - Students wear traditional clothes. Sports day - During the winter Kurukshetra - It is like an annual fest. Moonsoon mud fest Annual day - Well college has an annual day. And other events like tie day, friendship day, etc. Well, there are at least 1 or 2 events every month.

For B.com F.Y.B.com - Around 4000/- S.Y.B.com - Around 4500/- T.Y.B.com - Around 5000/- As compared with other colleges my college fees were quite reasonable. Exams fees, library fees, Gym fees, project fees everything was included in the above-mentioned fees.

There is a scholarship facility for the underprivileged and reserved caste students in which they get a 100% refund of their fees. For eligibility, the reserved students require their caste certificate and other whose family's annual income is less than 200000 need their income certificate.

There are a variety of options to choose from in extracurricular activities. You can try out for football, cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, badminton, and fencing. There is also a gym and sports room where you can play carrom, chess, and table tennis.

During my first year my seniors were very friendly. They encouraged me to join the football team also gave me tips and told me about the does and don'ts and by time we became friends they never treated me like their Juniors but as a friend. Even they have graduated now we still hangout sometimes.

I barely know a few professors who teach in my class but I say that they are good at teaching also care about the students. They also gave me advice on what career options I can pursue after my graduation.
