Only 1 semester per year unlike 2 semester like regular colleges
Books are free from college and the books portal is accessible
No attendance is required only weekend optional classes

Dislikes

The staff is super rude 90% of the time and unresponsive too
The place to conduct classes changes from time to time without any proper intimation
The assignment might get missed after submission

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the colleges is very flexible as, only one written exam per year is conducted and the other semester is only written assignments which will be as issued by the concerned teaching staff or IGNOU RC

Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees started from 3,000 per year to 10,000 per year depending on the majors and course structure. I have taken regular Bcom and paid around 8,100 per year. Books are covered under the standard fee structure

Campus Life

College doesn't have any dedicated structure or any buildings and they mostly partner with local colleges for the local office but they would be having an regional centre for every district which is in permanent office. Campus life is almost non existent

Admission

The main reason to do get into this college because it is flexible and allows us to do any other courses and have necessary time to ourselves to explore more career options and try more streams. This sort of curriculum and colleges highly suited for enterpreneurs

Faculty

As it distance college the student to teacher ratio is not a issue mostly the students attend the college on weekends that is Saturday and Sunday for optional classes and any necessary support for education is available in online portal

Night Life

There is no nightlife in the college as the college is only on weekends starting from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or the noon classes with start from 2:00 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m.. the college have access to the partner college infrastructure like libraries canteen and playground

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

"Convenient and recognised distance learning"

I choose IGNOU because it offers affordable and flexible education compared to many regular colleges in signal is a recognise centre University it's degree is valid across India in the low fees structure made it the practical option for me the flexibility to study from home and the manage other responsibility was the main desert I prefer IGNOU over other colleges I had considered near by regular colleges as well but their fever much higher and the required which was not suitable for me from my situation IGNOU provides could study material I structure syllabus and the option to appear in exam at can be and centres which made it a better choice the admission process online I fill out the application without any difficulty the confirmation was received within a few days and the process was smooth and translation without any difficulty overall IGNOU was the best choice for me because of its affordability flexibility and recognised degree making higher education accessible and convenient....Read More

All about IGNOU

I applied only to this college because of its flexibility ( you can choose your exam centre anywhere in India), affordability and degree recognition, not because it was my dream college. I didn't applied to any other college. The eligibility for admission is based on minimun academic qualification like 10+2 for UG programs. Only some professional programs may have entrance exam but for general UG/PG none are needed. no competitive cut offs admission is fully online and transparent with minimal paperwork....Read More
