SOL delhi review

Negative remark:- online availablity of information is not available. Students are confused. Proper information should be available online so that regular visits to SOL office can be avoided. Position:- availablity of soft copied of books is now available online free of cost.

Course is similar to regular College . The difference is that we are given optional PCP classes ( as per schedule) . Exam structure includes examination fee , library fee and course fee. Library fee is refundable after the span period . We are provided with books from the centre , library access through fee receipt and can borrow books too.

Placement and opportunities are provided along with regular Colleges and jo other separate programme is there. Also less importance is given to SOL students compared to regular ones. Stipend varies based on package available from companies.

No regular events held but yes you can go to Delhi University events using sol id card. There are few activities such as painting competition,poem competition or social cause competition that happen and notification for the same in available on official site of sol.

Its quite feasible. Affordable and average fee. You are charged with library fee that is refundable after the span periods is over. You get library facility and can borrow books but only from the centre. Separate course fees includes books material that is now available in hard and soft copy. Examination fee is taken for organising examination.

Scholarship is provided to bright students who have obtained above 90% and SC/ST /OBC can concessional fee structure that is different on the basis of the course you have selected. You'll get loan approval on the basis of your admission and is at concessional rate too.

Mostly activities are social issues related and competition held based on social issues. We can also apply for the same and take part in it. Special days such as republic day, independence day,army day, earth day etc are organised and open invitation is given to all the students of every course that is being offered by the college.

Senior students generally can't be contacted but yes alumni is there who update you with information. There is a facebook group by the name ' school of open learning' that usually delivers all the necessary information and admin is a member of alumni who provide all details and help in resolving quiries.

About the office faculty ,they do help you but you have to visit the centre . Also the faculty at PCP classes are same that pf college as classes are held in regular college and on off days pf regular college. For small queries you have to visit the SOL office,all information is not available online
