Likes

I liked the cafeteria of the college good food healthy food is there with proper hygiene.
Also the campus is big you will also have a wifi in the campus sitting arrangement is there playing area is also there

Dislikes

I disliked the washroom they are not hygienic and no proper sanitation is there

Course Curriculum Overview

Course has 6 subjects computer fundamentals,c programming, office automation, mathematics, applied english and evs in first semester Evs is compulsory for all in 1st year so you dont have any choice you have to take it.also the teaching is good we have labs and rooms for classes

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 13000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fees for subsidized category is ?13000 and for non subsidized its ?26000 This fees is yearly for 2 semester's and for the next year again we will have to pay mentioned amount for next two semesters and same for the next two Total we have 6 semesters...So go for this college fees is lesss compared to other colleges in shimla

Campus Life

There are many clubs is college like ncc nss theatre club and many more you can join these also we have freshers and farewell in the college also the department functions we have library one digital and other simple library we have boxing area in campus also vollyball and basketball ???? area in the campus also sitting arrangement is there you can sit and watch

Admission

I choose this college because it is affiliated by hpu and also its A++ in shimla also this is a government college admission process is easy you have to fill the form online and you should have a good percentage for the courses also there are all terms ad conditions for admission in the college website you can check it there

Faculty

Faculty members are nice to us all are very helpful .There are nor easy nor tough exams ..final exams are made by hpu Himachal Pradesh university make final exams and mid term are made by college teachers only so all can pass if you study well..

Night Life

There is a hosteyfor boys a big hostel no hostel for girls is there . we have 2 libraries in the college and a canteen also we have a cafe ..we have hangout places like forest road sanjauli also there is mall road for roaming also we have a auditorium for function and parties

Student become eligible form 7th semesters, Companies like Amazon, DeShaw, SalesForce, Deloitte, etc visit here and they respectively take a good number of students. Highest package was 80 LPA by DeShaw and average package is around 13 to 15 LPA 93 % students are placed I am also planning to sit in the placements and going in the development feild

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.

Environment of my college

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
