Course Curriculum Overview

3

I would rate the course curriculum as relevant and comprehensive, offering a solid balance between theoretical knowledge and practical applications. The curriculum was a key factor in my decision to choose the course, as it covers current industry trends and includes hands-on projects and electives for specialization. It prepares students well for real-world applications and further academic pursuits, with internships and case studies enhancing practical learning. However, there is room for improvement in areas like more practical lab sessions and integrating cross-disciplinary learning (e.g., soft skills). Some professors could also adopt more interactive teaching methods to improve engagement. Exams are well-timed, with midterms and finals, but the difficulty level can vary, leading to some inconsistency in assessment standards. Overall, the curriculum is strong, but a few adjustments could make it even more effective.

Internships Opportunities

3

My college offers a balanced academic and extracurricular environment, providing a solid foundation for both learning and personal growth. The course structure is updated regularly to align with industry trends, offering a mix of core and elective courses. The faculty-to-student ratio is favorable, and most professors are approachable, offering support and mentorship. However, some subjects could benefit from more interactive teaching methods. Internship opportunities are abundant, with companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft offering internships in roles such as software engineering, consulting, and marketing. Interns receive stipends ranging from ?15,000 to ?40,000, working on projects that provide valuable real-world experience, like software development or market research. The placement process is robust, with around 85-90% of eligible students securing jobs, and the average salary package is typically between ?8-12 LPA. In terms of infrastructure, the college provides the basic facilities necessary for academic life, including classrooms with standard tech setups, a functional library, and sports facilities. However, some areas lack cutting-edge resources or advanced technological provisions. Hostel accommodations are affordable, ranging from ?40,000 to ?60,000 per year, though the rooms are basic and the food can be repetitive. For students seeking more privacy, off-campus PGs and rented accommodations are available for around ?8,000 to ?12,000 per month. Campus life is generally safe, though the nightlife is limited, with most activities winding down by 9-10 PM. Social activities often revolve around student-run clubs and events, though some of these can feel cliquey or poorly organized. Despite this, the local area offers a few cafes, malls, and hangout spots for students after classes. Overall, while the college provides a good academic and social environment, there are areas where improvements could make the experience more enriching.

Placement Experience

3

Placements at my college are strong, with students eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. Top companies like Google, Amazon, Deloitte, and Goldman Sachs visit the campus, offering a range of roles in fields like software development, data science, and consulting. Last year, the highest salary package was ?45 LPA (from Google), with the average package around ?8-12 LPA. About 85-90% of eligible students secure placements. If I don’t pursue a campus offer, I plan to either pursue higher studies or look into entrepreneurship opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

So basically it this university "MIT ADT" there's no categories facilities so that any lower cast can pay less amount, all the students studying in this university have to pay same fees which is told by the University, so if we talk about BCA course in this university it is a three year course and the fees allotted for this course is ?1,86,000 for first year and it goes increasing as you go to the second and third year so in second year it's about ?1,88,000 and in third year it's about ?1,90,000

Campus Life

3

Campus life at my college is somewhat lackluster. While there are events like TechFest and CulturalFest, they often feel poorly organized and more like popularity contests. The library has basic resources, but the selection of up-to-date books and journals is limited. Classroom facilities are just okay, with standard tech that often malfunctions. Sports facilities are basic, and extracurricular activities can feel cliquey and poorly managed. The student-run clubs are active but often more focused on filling up the calendar than genuinely enhancing student life. Overall, it’s functional, but there’s little to be excited about.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel at my college offers basic facilities with shared rooms, basic furniture, and Wi-Fi (which can be spotty). The food is average, with a repetitive menu of rice, dal, and sabzi, though the canteen offers snacks until it closes early. The hostel registration process is simple, around ? 1,60,000 per year. Off-campus, there are PGs and rented apartments costing ?4,000 to ?9,000per month, located in a safe but somewhat noisy area. Renting off-campus offers more privacy and space but may come with fewer amenities and occasional maintenance issues.

Admission

I chose this college over others primarily due to its strong academic reputation, industry-relevant curriculum, and hands-on learning opportunities. The college's top-tier faculty and specialized tracks in emerging fields like AI and data science were key factors. Compared to other colleges, this one stood out with its modern campus facilities, better placement support, and strong industry connections. I was accepted into a few other colleges, but the ones I didn't make it to were either more competitive or had higher cutoffs, which I couldn't meet due to my exam performance or application timing. The admission process at my college involved meeting specific eligibility criteria, with entrance exams like JEE or the college's own entrance test being preferred by most students. The cutoffs varied each year, and my overall admission experience was smooth, with clear guidelines and transparent communication.

Faculty

3

At my college, the faculty-to-student ratio is relatively low, which allows for a more personalized learning experience. The ratio typically stands at around 1:15, ensuring that students receive adequate attention from professors. This smaller ratio helps foster a collaborative atmosphere where students feel comfortable approaching their professors both in and outside of class. Faculty members are generally approachable and open to discussion, offering regular office hours and providing timely feedback on assignments and exams. I particularly enjoyed courses taught by Professor Smith and Dr. Johnson, who were both exceptionally engaging. Professor Smith has a unique ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, while Dr. Johnson’s real-world experience in the industry made her classes not only informative but also highly practical. Their enthusiasm for their subjects made learning enjoyable, and they were always available for extra help when needed. However, not all faculty members were as well-received. For example, Professor Lee’s lectures were often disorganized, and students found it difficult to follow along. Additionally, their reluctance to engage in discussions made the learning environment less interactive and more rigid, which many students found frustrating. Regarding the exam system, our college typically has two main exams per semester: a midterm and a final. Both exams are heavily weighted, making them quite important in determining final grades. While some students find the exams challenging, especially in technical subjects, the difficulty is generally fair if students keep up with coursework and attend lectures. The failure rate in these exams is around 10-15%, with most students who fail struggling due to lack of preparation or understanding of the core concepts. The course curriculum is generally relevant, and it undergoes regular updates to ensure it aligns with current industry trends. However, some electives could ben

Night Life

3

Nightlife around my college is pretty quiet. The campus shuts down early, with the library closing by 9 PM, gym closing by 8 PM, and cafeterias shutting at 9 PM. Hostel curfew is around 11 PM, making it difficult to stay out late. On-campus, the student lounge and open grounds are popular spots for casual hangouts. Off-campus, there are a few cafes, a mall with a food court, and movie theaters nearby, but nothing too exciting. The locality is generally safe, but the options for late-night activities are limited.
