I am about to complete my degree from the college and have got a decent job from the campus placements. I can say that the college has left a positive impression on me after all the learnings jobs and memories that were created here.

Course Curriculum is very properly designed and dynamic in nature. It is divided into 4 parts. University Core, University Elective, Program Core, and Program Elective. We have a list of courses in all 4 categories. For both elective categories, we can select the subject of our wish and complete the credits. A total of 180 credits needs to be completed to get the BTech degree in VIT.

Placements in my college are record-breaking. My college holds multiple records in placements. This year also lots of companies visited the campus. Till now 669 companies have already visited the campus and still counting. Almost every student from the campus is having a job in his hand if he is willing to have one. Placements are divided into 3 different categories here. Regular offer, Dream Offer, and Super Dream offers. Regular offer is before 4 lakhs, regular offer between 4 to 10 lakhs and super dream offer above 10 lakhs. Lots of students got super dream offers from various companies. The highest package was given by Microsoft this year with a package of 39 lakhs to 19 students from our college.

My college has various clubs and chapters which organize various events on campus. Every day we have multiple events going on by different clubs and chapters. Apart from this, there are 2 major fests in my college. That means every semester has 1 major fest. The two fests are Gravitas and Riveria. Gravitas is the technical fest of VIT and Riveria is the cultural fest. In technical fest, various workshops and hackathons are conducted while in cultural fest various pro shows are organized by different artists.

The fee structure is similar to the new fee structure of IIT now. It is approx 2 lakhs per year. This seems quite expensive but one of the reasons is that it is a private institute. Other than that the facilities provided by the organization are very good. We have all sorts of machines in the laboratory and various types of booms in the libraries. The infra and teaching facility and methodology makes it worth the money. Also, the placement which is the final criteria to evaluate an institute is also amazing here.

There are multiple scholarship programs that colleges offer throughout the year. Top merit holders from the state are given free and direct admission to the college. Apart from them, all the merit holders are given scholarships. Also, many students who are poor are also given scholarships to fulfill the fee of the college. Apart from that, they have a tie-up with Indian banks where those people provide hassle-free education loans to the students coming to join vit.

We have various clubs and chapters for extracurricular activities. Also, we have NSS and NCC on our campus. There are various grounds and a swimming pool and gyms. We have lots of labs on campus. The infrastructure of the college is mesmerizing.

Hostel infrastructure for college is very good. There are multiple hostels inside the campus. It supports both ac and non-ac with different sharing rooms. We have 1,2,3,4 and 6 sharing rooms in the hostels. If you want to be very free then hostels are not for you. There are some strict rules that have to be followed. No one is allowed to drink and smoke on campus. There are various punishments for all the rule breaks. Also, no one is allowed to leave the hostel after 9 pm if until we have permission for some work.

We do have an alumni network called VITAA. There all the alumni are registered and a few of them are very active and visit the college as well to give company knowledge to the students of the college.

Faculties in my college are ex-professors from various colleges like IIT, etc. Few are foreign teachers as well. Those teachers teach foreign language and also a few other courses. Few of the senior professors have very vast knowledge in their field which we can utilize and work under them for projects that can help us a lot.
