Remarks

College has a very good Infrastructure. It provides you with all the amenities. But it charges you a lot for everything. Even for a file to college sheets. It will charge you extra. On the other hand they have AC Classrooms, Playground, Campus, Library with almost all kind of books, Large Canteen, Labs, Sitting Area, Filtered Water, Access to Faculties. Overall it's a nice college. I spent my 4 years here. Made nice friends, got nice placement, learnt a lot over the years.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course Curriculum is of Mumbai University. Every semester hai minimum of 6-8 subjects. Decreasing from First year to Final year. Curriculum doesn't teach you much about Practical life, it is all bookish knowledge they teach you and most of those can't be applied. Few concepts can be but not most of it. Anyways our college is now becoming Autonomous. Exam Structure: Every semester has 2 Term Test. Term test is exam of half subject. So it takes place twice in each semester. Each paper is of 20 marks with duration of 1 hour. You need 40% of the total marks to pass the exam. Then comes Viva and Final exams. For Viva external faculty comes and for Final exam, the paper is of 80 marks and for 3 hours. Timing varies depending on the year. 1st and 4th year has exam from 11 to 2. 2nd and 3rd year have exams from 3 to 6.

Placement Experience

4

Our T&P officer is very strict but gets a lot of companies for placement. Usually about 99% of the students are placed every year. Our college started with Internship programs. I didn't opt for college internship. I found those by myself. I did around 14 Internships. Internships teaches you a lot if you do it in the right company and with right mindset. If you are doing only for Certificate and Resume, it has no value. Stipend varies a lot. Some companies don't give you any. Some pays you a lot. Depending on your skills and abilities and the company need.

College Events

4

There are 3 major fest in our college. Zephyr - It is a Technical fest, contains events of all kinds from gaming to coding. All colleges are invited. Sojourn - This is college event. A Cultural fest calling all the students of all department and all years. We have competitions too. Dance and Singing. Inertia - Inter College Sports Fest. Football, Basketball, Cricket are some major events. Other colleges also participate.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is quite expensive. ?1,27,000 per year is the fees. ?1,130,00 is tuition fee and rest all are for amenities. But college has various other factors. It provides Scholarship, Entire tuition fee is refunded. It has some backward class option as well so they only pay ?10,000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tata Scholarship is one of the best scholarships provided to all the toppers or if you are good in extra curricular activities. Loan is not provided by college. Students take loan from Bank only. By friends availed Tata Scholarship. There is 1 more but it rarely comes in college. So only 1 Scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities includes Sports. There is a college team, it helps college go and compete to various other colleges. It is quite good. College has Labs of all kinds from Robotics to Programming to Mechanical to Civil to Machineries. All kind of labs are available for students to exceed. Since I was in computer department, they had a special lab called Cloud Lab. It has all the latest Processors and Graphics card. PCs were superfast for us to work on any of our project.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I opted for hostel. There are 2 hostels. Old and New. Old Hostel is very bad in terms of living. It is not properly taken care of. And I never went again. New Hostel is properly cared. Rooms are cleaned twice to thrice a week. It is a single building with 4 apartments on each floor. Each apartment has 2 rooms with attached washroom and bathroom. Every room has 2 beds. Tubelight and Fan and lamp is there. Each Student is given a cupboard, a bed and a drawer. But you have to pay your own light bill. So Infrastructure is 9/10 And Facilities are 9/10.

Alumni/Alumna

College maintains a list of Alumni students and keeps a track of activities of several Entrepreneurs. Any Senior Student who is doing something unique or is exceeding then college calls them for seminars. If some student really wants to do something or want to grab any knowledge or want guidance, they can get the contact from HODs or any other faculties. They will happily provide the information and get you in touch with Seniors and Alumins.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty are okay. 60% of them have no knowledge, 38% don't know how to teach, 2%(In entire college) teaches well. They don't care much about students. Few does but rest all only care about attendance and Assignments. They want to show that they have Maximum presence in class to show off in front of other faculties and get maximum attention from higher authorities.

I choose this course because I have genuine interest in civil engineering. The faculty student ration is 1:50. Our faculties are well qualified they are master's degree holders in design and structural engineering. Some of them are PhD holders and many of them have done their master's from NIT and IIT. Term exams are scheduled after every 2 months. it is easy to pass because it consists of 30 marks only.
