Remarks

It is having greenry all around but placement is very low. You have to apply for various jobs on your own to get placed. The placemwnt cell is not strong they make available those co. Panies which give 5000 to 7000 per month.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum matches Gate and Ies syllabus so you can prepare for these exams simultaneously. Pra tical class are lezs and they focused more on theorirical knowledge. I was able to clear Gate exam just by studying course curriculum.

Placement Experience

No our college doesn't provide internship. You have to arrange your own internship during 4 week training in any institution. Stipen is not provided it depends on you and your recommendation which help you to gain internship with stipen.

College Events

Technical fest and cultural fests are organised. Many colleges participle in this event. Technical fest is organised for 3 days and cultural is for 2 days. So overall here people have good social relationship.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is having lowest fee among the various NIT and IIT. It is very helpful for poor students to carry out their studies taking into mind the fanancial assistance. I will personally suggest people to join this college coming from lower background.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any loan or scholarship. But various banks like CBI, SBI, HDFC and many other banks provide scholarship. You may get the fee receipt for the semester fee and apply in any bank. There are various scholarship schemed for SC and OBC students provided by centre and various states.

Campus Life

There is a student activity center where you can play badminton , table tennis , squash, singing, guitar playing and many more activites. There are cricket grounds, running tracks, basketball ground.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is not that strong. There are many people placed in foreign countries but they are not connected. From past 2 years they have started to have alumni meet before that these functions were organised for 2-3 years.

Faculty

Faculties are supportive and helps us to grow in every aspect of our life. There is good social relationship between student and teachers. But management does help students much they make students work pending for long time.

MY HONEST REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

from 6th semester students become eligible for the placements and they should not have any backolgs or reappers in the exam and they should have morethan then 5 cgpa . as i am from the 2nd yeari donot know more aboutm the placement offered made but the average packagr is 3.5 to 4 lakhs per annual and around 70 to 80 percent of students are get selected in placement . and planns after getting the degree is to do higher studies in aerospace designing in the aircrafts.

Placement Experience:

Here, the placement drive starts at the beginning of the 5th semester and goes till the end of the 8th semester. Here, all MNC like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Capgemini, and many other companies come to our campus for hiring. In the very last year 2 students got selected with a prestigeous 2.5cr & 1 cr packages.

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for the campus placement. Either they get internship or they get placement offers . Number of companies visited are more than 50. I will give some examples of some best companies like google , microsoft, accenture, virtusa, lenovo , Paypal, shadii. Com , JP morgan and many more other good companies visit to our college. Highest package last year was 52 lakh and the average package was 6 lakhs . More than 70 percent Student are getting placement. My plans after the degree is to get a good job in a good company

The course curriculum should be rated on how useful and complete it is. A good one covers all important topics like Software , Networking , Automata , SQLetc. it is mix theory and practical work . For CSE studendent there are coding laguage like C++ in 3rd sem and DSA in 4th semester.

True experience of a SLIET Student

I only looked for government colleges as they are affordable and well-reputed. I applied for several colleges and got selected for IIFPT Thanjavur and GGU Bilaspur but I wanted to study mechanical engineering and out of all options, this college was best known for its mechanical engineering course and lab facilities. Internship apportunities in SLIET, Longowal

I applied in sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology in first seven round but I got electronic engineering which I didn't want, so I waited for special round and then I got Computer science. I am in general so I didn't get any quota for admission but obc and sc st have quota in the college. To get into sant Longowal institute of engineering and technology, you have to give entrance exam and the cut off of the college generally goes around 130-140 for general category.
