Review of Btech course (mechanical engineering) in pillai college of engineering

I have interest that's why I chose this course . This course provides hands on experience college also provides in house internships for students to gain experience and learn things . College also has racing teams for engineering students to learn and how to apply that in real life . The teaching method is also good if there is any issue the student can say that and share his/her perspective in the feedback form a feedback form is given to the students via online mode after every semester. The timing of the exams are perfect your KT exams are scheduled such a way so that students get time to study and also there are no clashes .

There are various internships and courses you can do one internship I did was on scale down model of racing team . And did a course on product design and 3d printing Inside the college itself . There are various opportunities and internships you can do to upgrade your skills.

My plans after getting the degree is to pursue higher education (masters) and plus point this college also has masters program for students. The percentage required to get placement is cgpa of 6.75 . Companies like Gemini , L&T etc you can search or visit campus for more detailed information also the college provides campus tour with information to students before admission.

First year and second year fees I paid was 4054rs Which covers everything. Id card and library card fee is 250rs. Student insurance fee is 100rs university share 600rs. Examination fee is 2204 marksheet fee 200rs exam administration fee 700 and the grand total is 4054rs . This fee structure is for SC category students only. There are also scholarship available for every category for SC category I apply for a free ship. Scholarships for backward class , obc , ebc and other are also available.

There is a technical festival called as tech alegria which is held between October month where various tech events takes place where you can take participate and learn new skills and gain hands on experience. General festival which is well know is alegria which is held in the month of February. The accessibility of books here is great if in case specific book is not available you can still get the access through online library mode so you are never missing out . Almost every classroom has a projector and necessary things that is required while teaching. There are various sports activities where you can participate and there are events for sports held in this college . There are racing teams for students which is considered in extracurricular activitiy also various clubs are there dance club and acting club , committees for students. Which help them learn more and gain experience.

The admission process is very easy like every other college you apply through cet and get your college according to the list and after allotment you have to go and do the admission process all the documents and everything I told or you can visit the college they will guide you throughout the process . I chose this college cause it is a whole package of co curricular activities and there are great sports facilities, fests, studies everything is great .

The faculty to student ratio is good in the first year the ratio was 30:1 mean there are ten students for one faculty so each student would get attention and doubts were solved. In my second year 3 batches are made ek batch has a mentor assigned so it is easy to give attention to each and every student. I liked almost each and every faculty because they make learning easy and understandable there wasn't any requirement for extra classes outside the college . There is no faculty I dislike till now every faculty is helpful and nice . There are total 8 semesters in a btech course First year : 2 semesters and 2 IA(internal assessment) which is basically unit test . Most of the students get passed .

There is gym facilities for girls and boys library is opened from 8am to 4pm and gym timing for girls and boys are different. Famous hangout places of college are quad and cafeteria. And the locality of the campus is very safe at night .
