Likelihood inside Rastraguru Surendranath college.

I choose this college because I have a great urge in pursuing Bba and this is the only college which is near our location. Besides I came to know more about this college as a few of my relatives and friends have done Bba from this college and got placements. The teaching methods are good, the teachers make us understand about the subjects, give solutions to our problems and also provide online notes. I don't think much improvement is needed just if the classes are a bit long it would have been better. We have 1 hr of each classes now. We have 50 marks internal examination and 50 marks external examination in each semester and they are not much difficult if you prepare well.

We have the opportunities to opt for internship in our last year of our degree. We get internship opportunities in companies and even malls. Companies like Wipro, Colgate, V Mart etc offer internship. Students doing specialization in the respective departments can get internship and he/she have to complete their given projects or group projects to have an upper hand in getting the internships.

In our Bba course we can opt for campus placement from the 7 th semester. The companies that visit our college are like concentrix, TCS, Amazon, cognizant, Wipro and many more. The highest package offered was 5 lpa and the lowest was 1.5 lpa and the average package is 2 lpa. My plan after completing my degree and either to get a placement as soon as possible or if I can arrange enough funds I will do my MBA from a reputed institution.

The course fees is not as high as compared to other colleges. I had to pay rupees 23785 at the time of admission and it is the yearly fees and I don't need to pay any fees in the current year. The next fees payment will be at the starting of the next year and the same rupees 23785. It's my yearly fees for Bba. My college offers a 4 years Bba(H) course. The total fees structure is mainly divided into 18000 as tuition fees, 1200 as admission fees, 225 as library charges, 400 as session charges, 480 as sports charges and some other charges. You may also get a concession and scholarship if you belong to SC/ST or some other castes. You may get scholarship based on your merit. You can get scholarships which are provided by the state as well as central scholarship. I belong to SC so I will opt for the schorship as soon as my registration to the university is done. Basically the fees structure is same for all castes but if you get a scholarship it will help you in handling your own fees and your other necessary materials that you will need for your education.

The campus life in our college is very good. We have a lot of events happening in our college. We have events like freshers party and college annual fest and other programs like Saraswati Puja etc. We have two large libraries consisting of about 60 thousands books. We can read the books and articles there and also can take them home for reading but have to return them within stipulated time that's within 30 days or we have to face plenty. We have every types of technological support in our campus from smart boards to Wi-Fi, computer classes, halls and seminars etc. We have a lot of sports activities in our college which includes outdoor games like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball and indoor activities like table tennis, carrom, chess etc. And even sports like long jump, javelin throw etc. We also have a gym inside our campus. We have a few students run social groups and I am not much well aware of this groups till now.

Actually I have not applied for any other colleges except this one as it is near as compared to other colleges and after listening to a few passed out students I am well aware about their placements and opportunities. The addmission in our college is based on merit score that is the score you got in your 12th exam. After all students have done their application the college prepare a merit list based on your score and the admission takes place according. My admission experience is great as it doesn't have any complex process for admission.

Talking about my course that is Bba in the 1st year I came accross 6 faculty members from our department along with our HOD. The faculty members are all well equipped and known about their respective departments and are cooperative at the same time. The names that I will like to mention is our maam from CB and CRM department and our sir from economics department. The members from other departments are also good but I like these department teachers more. I don't find any faculty members that I can dislike. Moreover if you face any problem they are always their to help you. We have semister wise examination. In each semester we have 100 marks paper for each subjects and it is divided into 50 marks internal examination and 50 marks external examination. The 50 marks internal examination is further divided into 20 marks theory paper, 20 marks projects and 10 marks for attendance. And the 50 marks external examination consists of questions of 2marks, 5 marks and 10 marks. The examination is not too tough if you are well aware and prepared in the subjects.

Actually I am a day scholar and I travel to college from my home and I don't stay in hostel so I can't say much about the hostel Life. The cafeterias, gym library and public hangout areas are placious and well aired and lighted. We have a very beautiful garden area fully decorated with flowers and trees and we feel pleased sitting on the lawn and enjoy our quality times. Our campus is just besides the Ganga river so we experience fresh and cool air which refreshes us completely. Now talking about safety I think it is one of the safest colleges in West Bengal and even among other states as our campus and it's nearby areas are covered by military camps and millitary cantonments. So no misbehaving and bad activities happen here and we can roam safely but by obeying the rules and maintaining humanitarian behaviour.
