Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is really really good as it is well updated with the flow of time. The college is teaching C instead of Python as ... It's far more optimal and doing DSA will help us in getting better jobs. It'll get us well paid jobs . Apart from physics, maths, chemistry, the curriculum also contains CASD a subject that helps you in increasing your communication skills and get a better opportunity, if done correctly and sincerely your communication skills will skyrocket. Also there's a subject ESD for entrepreneurship but I think that'll need a little improvement as for Entrepreneurship we need skills such as sales, negotiations etc but the college is unable to provide that. It feels like ESD is being ignored right now. The frequency and timing of exams are also good as they provide enough time for us to study properly and also not too much time to procrastinate so we're right on track. We've exams in around 2 months gap which is quite enough ig. The difficulty is also moderate as students dont fail that much.

Internships Opportunities

4

The companies like google, amazon, aws etc have come to college to provide the internship in fields like android development, web development, Artificial intelligence and Machine learning etc. this is really great as we all get opportunities to get internships according to our achievements etc. the projects such as robotics , esd stuff etc happen which help us in getting better in corresponding fields.

Placement Experience

4

The placements in the college is moderate, we do get big companies like hyland amazon etc but we don't get enough students in those companies. Students are eligible for campus placement from 6th semester. The companies provide decent number of offers in the college. The highest package offered is 42 LPA and the average package is 7 LPA. 80-90 percent students get placements. I plan on getting a good paying job with the good work environment and after that i want to get my side hustles such as Copywriting, sales etc get done.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of TECHNO INDIA UNIVERSITY FOR ME IS , At first semester it takes 5000 as seat booking through WB JEE and 84000 for tution fee so making it a total of 89000, after that from future months it takes around 84000 for each semester. After that it also takes 2000 for semester exams and 5000 for clothes, bag, etc. However if you are domicile of West Bengal your fees will be reduced a little. There is no caution fee in the college.

Campus Life

5

The culture of TECHNO INDIA UNIVERSITY is really great, it's far greater than any other colleges. There are various tech festivals, fun fests etc. Till now we have been given fests like scavenger hunt, google development group, trips of music students to old age homes, etc. we have also been given orientation of different groups, orientations etc. we're having gaming events for e sports and physical both. We get cultural events such as sahotsava. There is a library that provides us with all the books for our semester, we can also sit and read books from fictional one to really informative ones. The college does provide with some of aurdino kits and all if we want to do some project and all we do it really really great. The college helps in everything. During Diwali, we were given diyas to paint and we distributed it to poors. We get from esports for valorant, bgmi, freefire etc... to gaming such as cricket, tug of war, Kabaddi, chess etc. The clubs run by students diverse from : Singing like swarakriti to google development group. We have clubs for music, films, photography, gaming, dance, paper art, standups, dev ops, etc. this has great impact on students life as students have to go through auditions to get in and those who do get really awesome experience opportunities and advice from experts.

Admission

From the very childhood I have been raised among businessmen which has always spiked my interest in Entrepreneurship and other side hustles, growing up I started to think how we mashup both jobs and side hustles. For that I needed time. I took colleges in my mind which will help me get both. That's why I took TIU. In TIU there's not that strict rules for attendance and the routine is also quite great which saves me quite a lot of time to put on side hustles. I applied for IEM but that college is hell if you need time. As it doesn't give any. I also had confirmed admission in Techno main Salt lake in electrical branch but I didn't take that since that branch is dead now. We can't do anything with electrical also TMSL has worse schedule and requires attendance. I had applied for colleges like IIT, NIT but I score 65000 in JEE which resulted in me not getting any colleges. In TIU you have to pass exams from either Techno, or WBJEE. you have to be 12th pass to qualify for bachelor's degree. Most preferred exam is WBJEE. the cutoff for CSE was 27000 rank.

Faculty

4

The faculty members of the college are really really good like we're shown everything that comes in syllabus, we've seen from silicone, gold sheets to an opened up cpu for van Newman architecture. The faculty to students Ratio is 60:1. The relationship is quite good between students and teachers as they're quite interactive. We also have a co ordinator for whole 1st year who's handling over everything and she does quite great job. They're greatly approachable. Sometimes just the language barrier comes for which we've to remind them. The name of faculties that I love are : RP sir (he has a youtube channel named spectra education, if u go through it you'll know why.), Archika ma'am (our co ordinator as she's the best in handling all our problems), Soumi paul ma'am ( she's our Introduction to programming teacher, what an exceptional teacher she's beauty with brains as she teaches the best and you can learn everything in class itself.) The one faculty I hate is our IP teacher SURYOJYOTI BISWAS. THIS MAN has a courage to come into the class, read the pdf he has already provided in classroom and dont explain one fuckin thing.... He just reads and he's the one who's always switching to bengali. When asked he'll simply go like " majority is Bengali here....like wtf !? Didn't we pay the fees as well? Why this discrimination bruh!!! There are 2 internal exams and one end sem. It's quite moderate like not easy not hard. But yes the discipline and all is maintained properly so that no one tampers in exam. The college provides their own personal network so that we can't connect to internet. And if you try switching or anything your work done is gone. None of the students fail as the course curriculum is so relevant that people learn in the class with interest.

Night Life

3

The college doesn't have anything for night since there's no hostel in it. But yes there are a lots of food stands beside college which gives eatables like pasta maggie rolls, biriyani, coffees etc. we also have burger king, dominos, pepperfry etc just beside our college. The time square in kolkata is also near to college which is a hangout place for everyone. It has all types of pubs, cafes and everything nearby so that place is really great. Also some people hang out just beside the salt lake as it is one of the calmest place.

Other Applied Colleges

Techno Main Salt Lake | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

It was still affiliated with makaut and has a really outdated syllabus

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
