Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum includes 7 subjects in each semester. 3 DSC 1 VAC 1 SEC 1 AEC 1 GE There are 2 semesters per year. The subjects are a mix of practical and theory. They are very much relevant. Real life cases are discussed and practical problems are solved. The exams happen twice a year. They are moderate level.

Internships Opportunities

4

I have not done any internships yet but there are a lot of companies tha offer internships. At the annual internship fair so many companies come and offer internships both online and offline. Companies like sharekhan, drishti ias, somani & co LLP, paisabazaar.com, bajaj allianz, upgrad, bajaj capital, readon, mahindra, etc come to our college for internships. They give a fair stipend.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for placements for the second semester. Many companies and startups come to our college. Last time at our internship and placement fair around 80-100 companies came. So the placement opportunity is good. You can get a pre placement offer if you are talented. Highest package last year was around 12 lakh per annum. Median package is around 5 lakh per year. Around 20% students of bcom get placed during their final years. I plan on doing MBA in marketing or finance after my bachelor degree. After that i would like to work for some time and start my own business of some kind.

Fees and Financial Aid

In first year i paid around 15250. In second year i paid around 17250. The tution fee is very low around 540 for the course. The college student welfare fee and other several charges are what makes up the total fee structure. There is an extra payment of 1500 rupees every semester as examination form fee that is charged by the university. Other than that no other expense is to be beared. The one time semester fee includes library membership, lab access, access to the e-library and other facilities as well. The canteen is not free but the rates are very affordable. The course fee for bcom hons would be a little more than bcom but not much high. There are many aids available for the students in need. There are book aids, fee concessions, etc. Under book aid you can get books from liabrary for free for the whole semester.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is great. There are two main events organised by the student union. One is AARAMBH that is the fresher event. The other one is the main fest TIDE that is organised around march or april. There are events organised by college authorities like diwali mela, dandiya night, etc. There are a number of societies like nss, ncc, enactus, film society, quiz society, departmental societies, etc. They organise several events and seminars throughout the year. The have their small fests around feb and march. There are sports teams for many sports in the college for both boys and girls seperately. In the library you get access to all kinds of books be it course related or some fiction or non fiction books.

Admission

I applied in general for delhi university. I had my college at 5th preference. The top five were north campus colleges and one was venkateshwar college. I could'nt get them as i had less than cutoff marks. I preferred ARSDC over other colleges as i had a few seniors recommending about the college. The reviews were also positive and it was near the metro as well. Admission process: Complete 12th Apply for cuet and give the exam. Fill the du csas portal. And fill the preference list. You are in

Faculty

4

The faculty members are nice and supportive. They are very approachable. There are around 60 students to 1 faculty. I liked Sivachandar sir, Baljeet Kaur mam, Uma mam, Sonam mam and more of them. But the mentioned ones are the best. There is no one as such whom i didn't like. There are two semester in a year. You have to opt for 7 subjects. 3 DSC 1 VAC 1 SEC 1 AEC 1 GE The course is fairly relevant. Most of the students clear the exams. Barely someone misses them. Many subjects have a combination of practical and theory so both aspects need to be cleared.

Night Life

4

The nearest area around the college is satya niketan. There are plenty of cafes and clubs around there. The most famous hangout places would be chowranghee a restaurant, immortal gaming cafe, satya park, satya square and many others. There is no hostel in the college. There are hostels and pgs near the college in satya niketan. The metro is at walkin distance of 150-200 metres so access to other places is easy.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
