Course Curriculum Overview

4

Almost every subject is good in my branch. We are taught programming, drawing and all. One thing I don't like is the subject basic Civil engineering. Curriculum also include a elective subject which prepare us for real life. Installation of smart board is necessary in classes. We have two exams mid and end sem

Internships Opportunities

4

Intership starts from 3rd year but you can apply off campus from 2nd year itself. All paid and unpaid internships are there. Almost all companies visit the clg. You have to prepare a project till 3rd year for intership as told to me by seniors. Mostly 70 percent of th students crack the internship and even some could also get PPO here and enjoy the tension free 4th year

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is exceptionally good specially in core engineering in EE, me,ECE they are lot better than nits and comparable to top iits. Almost all companies you might be knowing visit the clg. Highest in electrical was 82L and avg 18L. Almost 70-80 percents are placed. I am planning to go for upsc and other gov job after degree. Placements of branches below Mechanical are not much good as maximum company don't allow them to sit and those who allow, hardly select someone.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total college fees is around 979000 for four years excluding the hostels and mess. Scholarship is provided and an interview is conducted for the same with your family. Scholarship is given on family income and lots of benefits for SC ST category. Scholarship is mostly provided after 2nd sem so for first year you have give the fees on your own. Several government affialted scholarship are also there... It regularly comes on the DTU site. scholarship like Nsp, dell, Airtel. Even DTU itself provide scholarship on income basis. there is 100 percent fee waiver for sc and st and if you are obc and delhi region you should apply for mcm scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Campus Life is chill. Several fest are there engi, yuvaan, aarambh. Engi is the biggest fest in North India. Library is really good but right now wifi is under repairing. almost all sports are offered. Everything society you think of are there in dtu. Engifest is the best fest, it's the second largest fest of North India which is organised is Feburary, famous artist are there such as Shreya Goshal, talwinder, sidhu moosewala, raga and many more and we also have a literature fest in November called yuvaan which is also good. Freshers party called Aarambh is organised in August which will be your first fest on joining the college. Several tech fest are also there. Fests at every festival is also there such as uphaar on diwali and spic macay at Dusshera and many more.

Hostel Facilities

3

Three seaters are given in first year and they are not good. Meal is really good. You need to register on the DTU sites itself. Laundry facilities are available, curtains, lock are given. Hostels are in the campus itself. Hostels and mess charge total amount to 90000 for first year. Food is decent not much bad not very good but is edible. Sunday and Wednesday non veg is served and eggs on Saturday. 4 meals is served everyday. Registration process is very simple notification comes on site. For the delhi region, it's very tough for them to get the hostels. Hostels are inside the college premises 1st year hostel are separated from the seniors hostel. hostel name are aryabhata, Abdul Kalam, cv Raman and many more. 7 hostels for boys and 3 for girls.

Admission

I was getting all tier 2 nits with mech and almost all IIIT except top 5 with cs. I preferred DTU first of all because of the city and exposure it gives. You could also consider nsut but only if you are getting tech branches otherwise blindly come to DTU as here core branches are really fireee. You have to register on jac if you are alloted, you need to report physically for document verification and wait for subsequent rounds. Eligibility criteria is 60% in pcm in 12.

Faculty

3.5

I don't know the exact ratio, but it is really good. Some faculty are good and some are bad. But every teacher is interactive, they always clear are doubt. I really like the teacher of mathematics, Ms. Parul Chauhan, here class is really well organised and never move forward without clearing doubt of any student. Teacher I don't like is from civil, first of all I didn't understand his language as he is a south indian so accent very bad. Exams are as usual to other colleges mid sem and end sem. Total 8 exams are there 2 in each semester. And I people get backs here in which they have to reappear for the paper in the next semester and you have to give extra charges or 5500 for each paper. Course is relevant but in the first year we are taught some unimportant subjects like graphics and basic civil engineering for a electrical students. Each branch has this basic engineering subject from some other branch.

Night Life

4

There are 2 gyms for each gender and lots of cafe Nescafe, KitKat, raj soin, dosa plaza, bistro, dominoz and curfew timing for gate is 10;30 after that you need to call your parents for entering but all the guards are chill. OAT is the best hangout stop you fountains and greenery of campus is too good. a famous Titanic view spot is also there Girls are not allowed to roam after 11pm but for the boys it's whole night. A night cafe is there which only opens from 9pm to 6am for some night cravings you must try omelette maggi there.

Netaji Subhas University of Technology - [NSUT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Electrical Engineering)

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA.
