60:40 is the boys to girls ratio of bca.

Dislikes

No campus placement in our respective college.Very less support provided for career advancement
Poor signal of wifi.Computer software of some computers are not genuine in computer lab.
College infrastructure is very bad. Canteen is very small and quality of food is below average.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is irrelevant. Course curriculum doesn't prepare you for real world application or any further academic pursuit.It mostly cover basics information on computer languages. You have to study 4 more useless subjects other than 2 major and minor subjects.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Approx Rs.44000 to Rs.45000 is the year wise fees for bca in our college.Fees structure remain same for every student.You need to pay around 1000 rupees for examination fees on every semester end exam.

Campus Life

Events are oraganised in every 10 to 15 days. Average library . Smart boards are present in every classrooms. No sports events or any kind of facilities for any activity. 4 to 5 clubs are present in college campus.

Admission

I chose this college because of some financial issues and its fees is affordable. You can get direct admission in bca after clearing an easy round of interview. Minimum 60 percentage in 12th is the eligibility for bca.

Faculty

I personally don't like any faculty but some students have good relationship with faculties. Course curriculum is not relevant. Semester exams are not difficult but exams are very late.Approx 70 to 80 percent of clear the exams without any back.

Night Life

No gym. No hostel. No night life. College canteen is the most famous hangout place in college and also the only place for hangout. Locality is safe to roam around night. Don't expect any kind of college life in this college.

There are two timing shifts of exam morning and afternoon shift , mba students may have 2 exams in one day . The curriculum does not prepares you for real world application's. Need some internships and industrial exposure through college

I don't think that we can get placement from this college. And if students are practicing by their own they can get off campus palcement after 2nd year . 40% of students only get placement or less than that . After getting BCA degree I would like to go for MCA

A good college for a student who is from not so good background.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is offered to students who are in their final year. Capable students can easily crack the placement. A decent package is provided of an average of 2-3 lakhs per annum. The highest package offered is about 7LPA. Many different companies visit the college during the placement period offering a good package. Companies like Infosys, cognizant, Wipro, puma, ceat, Flipkart, etc visit the college for placement. At least 70-78% of students get placed and a rapid improvement is seen in the placement graph of the college.

Placements are really good for my department. From Semester 4 th you all are ready to get placed as company visits in an even semester. The companies visited are DeloitteUsi, Capgemini, Tcs, Wipro, EY, and Byjus many more...you just need to be attentive. The highest package till now is 10 lpa and the average is 3 lpa And there are placement coordinators who help you in guidance. Almost 75 to 80 percent gets placed with low to average packages.

Life at karim city college jamshedpur

Actually I applied only for this college because it is nearer from my home and actually this college is quite famous in my hometown and i didn't apply in another college because this is kolhan university and the education is good in this college. Karim City College. An Affordable Option for Mass Comm Aspirants

The most important factor was the affordability compared to other colleges including within-state colleges as well as Inter-State colleges. Also, the Faculty was very inclusive as I took last-minute admissions and they were happy to take me in. The admission process was fairly easy they took the mandatory marksheets of Std 10th and 12th also the Aadhar Card and Parental Details and the fees were paid in Cash. Later after the payments I was provided with the prospectus and Other Information.
