Likes

Hostel rooms are very food and food is also good
Roomates and friends are very friendly and motivating

Dislikes

The water of the hostel is worst and the maintenance of washroom is also bad
The drinkingwater of hostel is also not good

Course Curriculum Overview

Some courses are useful for career such as english and sts which are useful in our work environment but there are some courses which is not useful like the math lab course which is of no use and just for learning purpose

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 200000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

200000 is the fees and i dont know anything regarding scholarship.if you travel in bus the bus fee would be according to the distance regarding the rest the hostel fees differs from 2 rooms to 4 rooms to 6 room and the food fees my fees is around 4 lakhs for hostel and food

Campus Life

With good friends and teacher it s good time in the campus events are regularly conducted in college and we can interact with many during that and it s really cool here even though we came from far away place there is no feeling of missing home

Admission

I had iit as only my first preference but as i got 97 percentile in mains i wasnt able to get any iit through counsiling and nit also so my next prewas vit and i got good rank in viteee exam and joined the college. All the admission process was online and even fee payments were made online to the college

Faculty

There are 5 subjects in the 1 st semester and there are 67 members in our class.we have a total of 3 exams in each semester cat1,cat2,fat cat1 exam is for 50 marks where fat final assessment test is for 100 marks

Interview Experience

We had an exam called viteee which for 300 m i guess it was based on 11 th and 12 th syllabus it consit of 4 subjects maths chemistry physics and english it was an objective test with no negative marks we could choose our city and the centre and hall ticket would be given by vit management through mail or the website

Night Life

There is no night life in the college we have to be inside the hostel by 9pm for boys and 8pm for girls There is only night cafe during night except that there is no night life if your a hosteller inside the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Full time experience of Engineering

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. Vellore Institute of Technology Chennai Review

I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
