I like my class so much. Each semester class changes and classmates change.I will miss them
I like my hostel very much. It is very good and sanitized
I like my surroundings.In vit there are many things you can enjoy. I also like my roommates

Dislikes

I dislike the fact that i have to go 15 floors down as i am in 15th floor in hostel
I have exam each month. I dislike that so much
I dislike the fact that there are less holidays

Course Curriculum Overview

There are so many courses to choose from in our college. We can even choose courses from other branches to study. We have the freedom to choose the courses we want to study each semester. Also each courses have indepth concepts so that after course completion we have deep understanding about it

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 296000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I got second category in VIT Chennai.I am paying 296000 for each year. Fees for complete course is 1184000. It is not increasing.My caution fees is 15000. Fee for first category is 196000 and for third category is 394000

Campus Life

In VIT Chennai you have a lot of exposure. There are lots of events happening day to day. There are about 200 clubs in vit out of which you can be part of six to eight clubs. There are so many meets,hachathons and solvathons that happen wvery month in our college

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges because i loved the freedom and placements offered by vit chennai than other colleges. In terms of placements vit has the highest package to be offered than other colleges. In terms of exposure vit has high exposure than other colleges as many other states students also come to study here. I wanted to come to vit chennai. Admission process happened by website

Faculty

Faculty members here are very talented and amazing. I think except some all have degrees from IIT or NIT. There are three exams in total-CAT1 worth 15%,CAT2 worth 15% and FAT worth 40%. Internals is worth 30%. We have relative grading so that for each level of hardness there is each grade. Ratio is 1:20

Night Life

There are so many hotels in our college. There are gyms in our college. We have a big library where we can be from morning 9am to 12am. We are not allowed out of hostel after 9 pm. But we can go to library upto 12 am after asking permission

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

Placement Experience:

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

It's a good college for me.

Placement Experience:

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

because of future is EV. So I will take the EEE for a bright future 50:1 ratio level. Faculty qualification is a minimum PG and most of the faculties are complete Ph.D. each unit has a unit test it is very easy only No difficulty to get a pass.

Balanced Engineering Journey At Vit Chennai

I applied for SRM, once considered admission in LPU but finally chose VIT due it's reputation and strong placements. Other colleges which I applied for required strong jee scores for admission. Admission process in VIT is as follows:- 1) write VITEEE exam cause vit doesn't considers jee scores. 2) you must have above 60 percent in boards and above or equal to 60 percent in PCM aggregate. 3)cutoffs, past papers, closing and opening ranks are not revealed si can't say much regarding that. 4) overall admission experience was decent...Read More

Is VIT worth it

From th start of the 12th class I wanted IIT and my second option was VIT over NITs because it has very good facilities. I didn't get good marks in my JEE advance so I choose VIT. I had given exams of various other colleges like Kalinga Insititute of technology(KIT), SRM, BITSAT etc. i chose VIT as my college was because it is one of the most renowned colleges of India. VIT has a tag value of its own and it does make a difference if you add "VIT" as your college in your resume. The admission process of this college goes by giving an examination called VITEEE which is held after jee mains. The syllabus for the same is similar to jee mains and the good thing is it has no negative marking. All 12th pass students with a minimum of 60% are eligible to write this entrance test.
