Course Curriculum Overview

2

Hons was the the pain point of coming to this college but they shattered that thought by removing it after luring us to admission. Bsc Psychology with hons wasn't easy to find and was helpful but after admissions thet removed it and fooled us for 4 semesters. Exams take place every semester and is a little unfair because everyone has different questions with different level of difficulty.

Fees and Financial Aid

Registration fees was 2500. Fee structure was, refundable 5000 for library and college facilities, 1st semester 32300 and 42300 every semester after that. Hostel was 36000 was double sharing and 60000 for single sharing but the prices have hiked by 3 times in last two years so it really makes hostel below-average with respect to the fees.

Campus Life

2

They don't allow you to sit outside the classroom while class hours. Books and journals are quite available in the library and you can issue them. There's projector fitted in most of the classroom except not very of them works properly. Extracurricular activities are there if you're really interested. There are not clubs or students-rum social groups, everything goes to faculties.

Admission

I was really late with respect to applying to colleges and only other colleges I applied to had BA psychology which wasn't my preference. Finding BSC Psychology with hons is hard and with me being late to apply it was my only option at that point. There's no admission process, you come, pay your registration fees, they'll give you a tour, maybe ask minimal questions and your score in 12th grade and provide you admission after you pay the fees.

Faculty

3

Faculty to student ratio is low. They've started this new program called modular classes meaning one faculty for whole day which really dries up the subject and interest. Exams here are conducted online through their portal which is not really preferable by most of them but we don't really have a choice.

Night Life

1

As I told you mostly they don't really allow you to be roaming around while class hours. You can be in college between 7:30am-6pm, timings for each batches differ. Hostel in-time is 8:30pm. Roaming around at night is not really safe here, you should be cautious. Locals and police here is always out at night and may cause a ruckus, it's better to be inside then risk it.

From final year the students can apply for the placements. At least 60% should be there to be eligible for the placement. Many companies provides placements in this college like infosys, Accenture, Mahindra and many more. The average package as per the company is 200000 per annum and the highest package is 700000 per annum. My plans after getting the degree is to go to abroad for my post graduate.

Placement Experience:

Usually there are placements in our college. If any student does not get a placement the faculty guide us what we can do next like the companies in which we can apply and how we can go further. In my course after finishing the bachelors degree you can further study masters it is available in our college itself or yoj can aplly for companies but if you do your masters you have a better opportunity and high posts for you better career. The course is of 8 semester you become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. The last year that is seventh and eighth semester is basically practical and lot of projects provided. There various companies are seniors have applied and offered for example the genetic company in Bangalore that is Med gen. The highest package offered is 50000 and the average starts from 25000 placements in college. There is 75 percentage of students getting placements from our college. My plans after getting the degree is to go for further studies and do the masters after that i would like to do job along with my phd, this is my plan after getting my bachelors degree.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists

Qualification is good and the teaching method like some lectures is good. Term exams will be after 6 months from starting of sem and it's not as difficult as pu or 10th exams we can easily pass them.
