Remarks

The positive answer is that this University is very good as compared to other universities. The environment of this University is also very good as there is greenery seen in full university. The full campus has WiFi facility.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am from mechanical engineering branch. My main aim is to join defence services after my b.tech. The exam structure is that there are five sections in which one question is to be done from all four sections and fifth section is compulsory.

Placement Experience

Approximately 13 companies visited in our university. Almost maximum of seniors are placed in different companies. Various companies are Tata Hitachi, Havells etc. No university cannot provide internship.

College Events

In the even semester the moksh will be held in which celebrities are to be come in our university. This year Jassi gill and Babbal Rai came to our university and perform their show. Also the inter sports function was held about 2-3 days ago in which different universities came and fight in game with each other.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is normal to middle class and rich people but not affordable for the poor people. Mine fee structure is 65000 per semester and 40000 of hostel. The fee structure is different of various branches as there are different types of branches are there.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yeah, there are different types of scholarships for eg. 100% free education for the top 10 students who are in below poverty line category's,also 25% scholarship provided for the freedom fighter students but it is also to the top 10 student's.

Campus Life

The workshops are well equipped with the equipments.The different types of machines are provided like lathe, milling and advanced welding technology. In sports there are cricket ground , basketball ground and badminton court in which different activities is to be done. Also there are about 500 computers in total labs.

Hostel Facilities

The facility is very good at all. The food is great at all. Also the water is good. There are approximately 100 rooms on our hostel. There is also the facility of clean washrooms and the laundry facility is also available.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are totally helpful for us as the alumni take the extra classes in which students can focussed on there placement studies. Also the seniors can help the students in polite manner. They can tell all that are to be beneficial in placement purpose.

Faculty

The faculty is very nice and of gentle behaviour. I am from mechanical department so the head of department is very nice at all. Also feedback is given with respect to all teachers which is good at all.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

I think in the matter of the view it, it is far better than the universities, they have really good view and the society is quite clean. The nature of the outside of the university is very nice. Very greenery around the university, but there is a issue in the green tree that there are so many wild animals around mountains.
