KIT's Overview......

I am in Computer science and engineering course. Currently the situation of market is to hier computer engineeriers and our college has that relevance with the market situation. At the 1st year the course consist of Modern chemistry, Basis electrical engineering, Communication skills, Computer aided engineering graphics, C language and many more relevance subjects like that.

College ovides various internship opportunities for students . Student can get internships from 6 th semester of education.So many companies come for internship opportunities such as tcs, tata ,Wipro, tech Mahindra,etc.

From 6 th and 7th semester students become eligible for interships and from 8 th semester students are eligible for campus placements.There are much more companies that have visited our college such as Capgemini, Infosys, tcs ,tech Mahindra, tata and much more.Every year arount 90%+ students get placed.

My name is Mayur and I am in first year at KIT's college of engineering (an autonomous institute),Kolhapur .Our college has different fee structure for different types of scholarships.I have taken admission through OBC category scholarship,so my fees for 1st year is 55858 .This 55858 rs. consist of all fees, development fees,tution fees,lab fees,caution fees.My friend Sumit who is from ST category got ST category's scholarship is paying only 15000-20000 rs per year.Also ,my one friend has got admission through TFWS quota his fees are approximately only 13000 rs per year.KIT has various types of scholarships, such as scholarships for merit cum students, SC, ST, OBC, EWS ,students.So overall our KIT college is best college in affordable fees.

Meraki is the annual function of our college.Students make much fun in that event of our college . Every book related with the syllabus is available in the library.All the classrooms has digital smartboards.There are many more clubs ,social groups in college such as E CELL ,ROTRACT ,AURDINO, etc.

Hostel is really good in terms of hot water ,mess is good for food, hostel provides wi fi for students.Meal quality of the mess is really good .Even our faculties also comes to our mess for their lunch.registration process of hostels starts with college admission process simultaneously.

I have applied for some colleges such as VIT,pune , PCCOE,pune ,DY PATIL,akurdi ,DY PATIL ,pimpri .Through which DY PATIL ,akurdi and DY PATIL PIMPRI I have got for confirmed admission.but I choose KIT over other colleges.There are some reasons for that ,first one is that I am from middle class family and the fees of our college is too much affordable so I have taken admission.Basically the admissions are taken through MHT CET and JEE entrance exams.

I have recently completed 3 months in our college and also given the MID SEMESTER EXAMS, so the experience was really good.In this 3 moths I have found that the faculties of our KIT college are highly interactive with the students.They are always ready to help students in whatever doubt they have.All of the our faculties are good,but some are excellent ????.In a semester there 4 exams are held.Which are ISE1 (in semester examination 1), MSE (mid semester examination ) , ISE 2(in semester examination 2), and ESE (end sem examination).ISEs are for 10 -10 marks ,MSE is held for 30 marks in the middle of semester,and ESE is held at last of the semester for 50 marks.So total marks calculated as ISE1 (10) +MSE (30) +ISE2 (10) +ESE (50) =100 marks.According to our seniors passing rate is alwyas high than the failing rate in our college.So the exams are not that difficult.Means that the difficulty of exams is moderate.Exams are held very strictly so ,no chances are there to copy anything.Course curriculum is too much relevant.

College has its gym for boys in boys hostel.college has library consist of all books related to syllabus. Night life in the campus is good. Hostel clgate closes at 9:30 pm at night.and for girls hostel it closes at 7 pm.
