Affordability - college is very affordable and affiliated to delhi university
Online admission - whole process is online from taking admission to getting a degree you only need to visit college for exams
Different campus experience - every different semester different college is allotted for weekend classes and exams which gives a an idea about every established delhi university college

Dislikes

Online errors - the only con about du sol is if there is any error in online admission form or exams given then you have visit the campus which can be a lengthy process

Course Curriculum Overview

Course and curriculum of b com program is very good and comprehensive. If you are opting for distance learning then it would be better if you pursue other certifications Along your degree as well and there is absolutely no difference ydu regular and sol in regards of syllabus and curriculum it is same and exam papers are same as well

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 16000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is quite affordable 5495 for each year which sums to 16485 for the session 2021-2024 now it's 8870 for every year which sums to 26610 for a 3 year degree. Fees is very good for a distance learning course and books are also covered in the fees. There is no need for any other payment like exam fee or any other every thing is inclusive in the initial fees.

Campus Life

There is a little social life because it's distance learning program but you want to experience college you can attend weekend classes and college for those are allotted every semester so you also get to enjoy campus life of different college every semester. There are no college campus or group because there are no regular classes

Admission

I opted for distance learning because I'm preparing for ca and it was good decision. My graduation went hassle free. The admission process is very easy you just have apply online there is no need for any entrance exam you just need 50% in your 12 exams to get direct admission in sol

Faculty

There are only weekend classes in sol and faculty is allowed according to your alloted college. The faculty of Delhi University is renowned and every one has atleast 2 or 3 teachers teaching same subject so you can decide which class you want to attend and also because it's a distance learning program attendance is not compulsory and classes are conducted solely for students benefit

Night Life

There is no night life because you don't go to college but if you are going for regular college in delhi university you can have a really good night life and campus life. Also hostel facility is not provided for sol students

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
