Remarks

No negative remarks at all. Thakur college is always a dream colege for many and worth being admitted into ..with the best faculty , infrastructure ,library and sports opportunities. Industrial visit is also fun

Course Curriculum Overview

Professor of my college are one odf the best gurus. There are 2 internal exams and 2 externals.. professor guide us with every topic..any time we can call them for queries. That is the best part of my college.

Placement Experience

No my college does not provide any internship or placements to undergraduates. They only give assistents to all the students... Students get opportunties from the seminars where tgere are all known people guiding us.

College Events

There are many events celebrated in my college..the internationa event is TAARANGAN. THEN THERE are different event for all the departments such as cortokino for mass media ,stockwatch for junior commerce, etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

As my college is private there is no funding form government here the fees is more. specially for professional cources there is 2 sem fees. Fees is really expensive in Thakur college. But overall experience is good

I dont know much about schorlarship in my college. I have never availed any schorlarship or loan from my college..since i am in this collegr for last three years. From 11th ,12th and fybmm. There is loan for just quota students.

Campus Life

My college has one of the best library and science labs . Talking about sports .thakur college is know for sports. Coach for sports are really amazing .there are winning cups coming every year. Specially football and boxing.

Alumni/Alumna

There are very much helpfull and known in the media world. Aluminis of thakur college come to college for our internship opportunites. Some of them are actor, actoress , model , singer , etc ..they are very helpfull.

Faculty

Faculty could be one reason to be a part of this college. There are various guide lectures for the students... Students are given assisted to join various media platform for their future and also for internship.

Placement Experience:

College for students who wanna Hustle

Course Curriculum Overview:

the timings are great for students who wanna work while studying, but that only starts in the SY because in FY there are lectures from 10 to 1, that will give youll time to enjoy as a student, where as in SY n TY lectures will be from 7 to 9

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.

Remarks:

KJ Somaiya College is a very huge college and has a perfect system of everything. Proud to be a student of this college. They have extra curricular activities cultural forum fests and much more. They also have outdoor Games, athlete ground, hostels, 7 to 8 canteens. The teaching system is quite good they have compulsory 75% of attendance.

I got admission on basis of my 12th marks. Mumbai university consist of 3 merit lists, in which student get admission according to the criteria and my name appeared in one of those list hence i got admission .

TCSC is tremendous!

Admission was on 12th score as cut-off for Maharashtra board students was 78% and for other boards if from Maharashtra it was 84%. For OMS (Outside Maharashtra) it was 88%. So I was in that 84 % bracket and made it just by edge as mine was 86%. Nearly 300 seats and over 30k students compete for that....Read More
