Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is MBBS. A dream of many students...so it was a choice since childhood to choose this course. This course makes you a doctor and prepares you for treating patients. The course is well designed but clinical practice is not upto the mark. Like foreign countries if patient exposure and patient examination scope is increased then better clinicians can be made. The exam level is quite difficult and very stressful for the students. No option is given for the entire examination and passing percentage is 50 percent which make the examination quite difficult.

Internships Opportunities

4

Mandatory internship has to completed from the college. During internship a sum of around 32000 is provided to the interns monthly. We get an exposure on all the subjects in which I can do a postgraduation and provides a good opportunity to decide which stream I want to choose as a speciality. It also provides good clinical exposure on various opds and wards and operative procedures.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition fees is 4500 per semester and there is total 9 semesters. It is same for all categories. But reserved candidates get scholarship every year because they are studying MBBS. But the minimum criteria is 60 percentage in the Professional examination held every year.

Campus Life

5

Chronaxie is the annual festival held every year which is organised by the students. It is the college fest which is organised for 5 days every year. Various competitions, Dj nights and bollywood artist and various band nights are organised. Almost all good books are available in the library. All the classrooms are smart classes. Airconditioned and provided with projector. Volley ball, cricket, badminton tournaments are organised every year.

Hostel Facilities

4

Almirah, study table and chair is provided in every room. Meal quality is okay...not very good, not very bad....you can have it. There is always the option to order food using swiggy or Dominos if hostel food becomes intolerable. The hostel rooms are quite good and charges only 12 rupees monthly which makes it really pocket friendly and best option for accommodation

Admission

I applied for the medical colleges in Kolkata and also medinipur, kalyani, and bardhaman medical colleges. I got Murshidabad Medical College based on my rank in Neet Ug exam which is held for admission to medical colleges every year. The college verifies your original documents and you should score atleast 60 percentage in board exams. I got rejected from medical colleges in Kolkata because my score was not upto the mark for those colleges.

Faculty

4

1:125 is the faculty to student ratio The relationship between most faculties and students are very good. Ritu Ma'am, Biplab Sir, Subhramoy Sir Gautam Sir are very good There are 9 semesters and 4 professional exams. In between some parts and items are taken by various departments after completion of some chapters.

Night Life

4

Library, canteens are best places to hangout with your friends or partner. Hostel gate is closed at 10.30 p.m. Hazaarduari palace, motijheel park, cossimbazar rajbari, pataleshwar mandir are near the campus and can be visited easily. The locality is quite safe and people does not feel unsafe.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is completely based on NMC new guidelines. Along with the theory classes where we know the structure and their working in dissection we actually see them on cadaver . Lectures should be more interesting as it's get boring to literally listen the concepts for first time like a story and at the end we forget everything

Course Curriculum Overview:

Medical field is a really good field in my opinion to serve humankind and learn about science of nature and life!the curriculum is a little overpaced and there are 19 subjects which are taught in a timespan of 4.5 years which is a bit hectic! There are 4 professional exams and 9 semesters which have pretty good difficulty and assess our skills and education. We have regular examinations in around 4-5 months each. Only thing id like to change in the curriculum is better assessment of many topics which are taught pretty well but aren't examined much leading us to waste our time in focussing on them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is quite planned and great and has a lot of advantages in having a clinical and learning diagnostic approach to various diseases. One area where the curriculum can improve is by having more practical classes rather than theoretical classes. The exams are quite difficult but are quite planned to make you understand the clinician and the passing percentage is 50 percent.
