- too less fans in a big class and also less lighting
- lab apparatus are old and most of the time not working
- some teachers are not really good at the pronounciation which creates problem in understanding what they're teaching
Course Curriculum Overview
chemistry was my favourite subject in physics, maths, chemistry.. this course was at top of my preference list and getting this opportunity to study my favourite subject in a north campus college was a sweet fruit for me I'd like to continue my study in chemistry at masters or PhD level.
Internships Opportunities
the Avenue- is the placement and internship cell at my college from my knowledge all that i have heard in 3 months after my admission. they have conducted various placement opportunities before of my admission and the result/highlights are available at college website.
Placement Experience
fifth semester students (3 year course) and 7th semester (4 year course) are eligible for campus placement. according to stats, the median package offered during UG 3-year placements 2023 stood at INR 7.2 LPA. Further, a total of 358 students were placed and 1020 opted for higher studies out of total 1714 students during UG 3-year placements 2023. my plans after completing the degree would be going for masters and further studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
yearly admission fee is 16,630 Rs and first semester examination fee is 1810 Rs including practicals. whole course fee would be around 50k INR for 3 year degree (excluding exam-semester fee). fees other than the mentioned (admission and examination) one is not taken. there's no scholarship or related was mentioned to us.
Campus Life
fest that have happened is Aashhayeyin'24 - NSS Mela The flagship event of the year, presented by the National Service Scheme (NSS) at KMC. This year's event will take place on October 18, 2024. As for the facilities within the classroom.. there are projectors available in all of my classes. sports complex here at my college is quite huge and the NCC cadets do their drills and practice there. badminton court, cricket net, football net are also at the sports complex. there is student portal given to us which provides online library system, subjects overview, attendance and assignments which are assigned.
Admission
kirori mal college was at 5th position of my preference list and at first it was Miranda house.. for me as a girl i really wanted to get in Miranda house but due to cut-offs i couldn't get in Miranda and got my 5th prefered college which is kirori mal college thou i couldn't get in Miranda I'm happy here in KMC too but if I had upgraded my college for second round of admission there was a possibility of getting my first preference but I didn't.. thinking if I miss all those new things including orientation because of waiting for second round of admission and due to this i freezed my seat.
Faculty
most of the subject teachers are interactive and really good at teaching their topics and also helpful in making students understand the topic, this faculty would be organic and inorganic. about the physical chemistry faculty it is hard for us to understand their pronunciation though they're excellent at teaching. as for me there are 7 exams including elective subjects (GE, VAC, SEC,AEC) you can choose elective subjects based on your choice or of less work, as for core subject they are quite time consuming but can be understandable
Night Life
favourite hangout spot in the college would be sports complex and library lawn. famous hangout spot inside of the college is canteen and canteen lawn and as for outside of the college it is sudama tea or parliament tea spot
