A Living Hell

My opinion about this college is bad but if you are looking for CS IT or ECE branch, then this college is good in that field because faculties in that department are knowledgeable and placements in that department is nice but if you are looking for any other branch then please don't join here.

The course curriculum or you can syllabus is quite annoying. As this college comes under BPUT ( Biju Pattnaik University of Technology) so it has a very hectic schedule. We have to give two internals , 4 quizes , 1 surprise test and have to submit 4 assignments and finally the semester.

Placement is not that much good as few companies visit here and recruit less students while others have to search outside the campus for jobs which is very challenging. However , internship criteria is not that bad as the faculty who's handling it , is a clever one so he have good offers for internships. Experience may be good depending upon your interest on the subject but stipends never available. For stipends you have to apply your own references.

Many club events were done throughout the year and one mega event is also done named 'Sankalp' and also one college event named 'Waves' which is nothing less a waste of time because the deserving ones are never awarded The one who always butters the teachers and work with them as a servant are the ones who get scholarship like leadership, extra-curricular guy. Sounds crazy!

As being a private college the fees structure is normal and now it has become autonomous so fees has increased to certain extent. Book fees , mess fees as well as other registrations take this to around 2.0 lkh for a hosteller in an annual year.

Yes scholarship are provided to those whose family income is less than 6lkh per annum. Medhabruti , book grant etc are such scholarships. Loan facility is not available as they us time to complete the registration process otherwise he/she is not allowed for semester.

Sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, tennis are played but all are being handled by seniors so chances of hostellers are more as compared to day scholars . Partiality is everywhere in this college rather it be sports or scholarships. Labs are not that much bad , valuable instruments and machines are available and time to time it is maintained.

Infrastructure for hostel is good but facilities too bad. The quality of food provided here is very bad. Most of my friends have to stay outside by taking rent because most of them were unable to sustain the quality of food given and as I m day scholar so I manage food from outside the campus.

Yes, seniors are helpful whether it be studies , robotics or presentations , they always motivate and provide a helping hand to us to complete our task. Alumni students are still in touch with us and find time from their scheduled program and spend some quality time with us.

Some are good, helping but others are annoying and irritating. Most of them don't have any idea of what subject they are dealing with. The behaviour is good but knowledge about the applications is not upto the mark.
