Good but not so good college

I am still in the first semester of my college and our sessions started in the month of September..so till date we haven't given any exams. We will be having our next examination in the month of February or may be March. But in the month of December we are going to have our externals where group projects will be held and viva will be taken. If we talk about study methods..the college doesn't always provide smart classes and I think they should provide the projector classroom more often for better learning and understanding

The yearly fees for B.com is Rs.38000 and the same for BA hons ranges from Rs.11000-62000. A scholarship is also available for students who have scored more than 85% in their 12th board examinations. The also have a library for borrowing study materials for different courses for which their charge extra

Other than studies this college encourages a wide range of extra curricular activities like dancing singing photography talents etc. They keep organising different events for the students. The have an annual college festival known as Ripples and many people know this college for their grand festival. It is held in the month of December. They call big singers and other artists to perform in their college on that day every year

Other than this college I had also registered for Shri shikshayatan College Kolkata and I also made it to the first merit list but I rejected it because of its compulsory attendance criteria. And then I took admission in this college. This college had a easy but very delayed admission procedure. One could do it all online by themselves. They have a good network of self service portal

The faculty to students ratio of the college is 1:4. The faculty members are very kind and polite towards the students and are easily approachable. Some of the teachers have a bit of attitude but others are all good. I personally like the behaviour of the office staff Deep sir for his kind nature. And There's one ma'am named Anjali who has a little rude behaviour towards students. Others.. all our subject teachers are very helpful.

The college doesn't have and gym facility available for the students. They have a small cafeteria which is quite affordable but doesn't provide a large variety of fooding. If talking about the library..then that is the best part of the whole college. The college library has a very beautiful infrastructure and holds a huge and wife ranging variety of books of many different genres. The college doesn't have an hostel neither for boys not for girls. And the locality of the college is just horrible and the road leading to the college is just disgusting. It is actually a remote area with broken road. Trucks get loaded and unloaded there so it's kind of unsafe and full of dust
