Course Curriculum Overview

The course is very relevant to become a teacher in future. However after completing this course one can explore other career options as well. Class tests and assignments are also given regularly which help in preparing for mid semester and end semester exam.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 480000 per year

Placement Experience

There are currently no placement records available, as the first batch will complete their degree in 2027. Placements will be conducted afterward, and placement records will be updated accordingly. The course is designed to be a teacher so most of the students will be recruited by Edtech companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The first year fees of this course is about 110000 for general and other backward class students. SC and ST category has different fee structure. Till now there is no such scholarship is being provided to students.

Campus Life

There are many clubs and societies. Aawaz, Business Club, Public Policy and Governance Society, Technology Literary Society, Entrepreneurship Cell, Aroma, Breakfree, Students' Relations and Branding Cell, The scholars Avenue are the famous ones. To join any club or societies you have to go through many procedures which includes group discussion and personal interview.

Admission

To be eligible for this course one must have 12th and equivalent degree and has passed National Common Entrance Test. National Common Entrance Test is conducted by National Testing Agency in the month of June every year.

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is 1:50.The faculties are very learned and helpful. Some teach on smart board and share ppt while some prefer to use green board. End semester has more weightage in overall CGPA.

Night Life

IIT Kharagpur has one of the biggest Library in India. It is open even on Sundays. Its closing time is 11.30 pm. On exam days it is open for 24×7. There are many hangouts places in campus. Tikka, Tech Market, Super Duper are famous ones.

Placement Experience:

After completing the 5th Semester the student are eligible for placement but the student should have 7.5 CGPA and a good attendence for the palcement after this oncampus placement like TCS, wipro, accenture etc come for placement with a native package of around 6-8 LPA. Which is goood . Nearly as per report around 80% of studentt gets placed every year . After i complete this course i have decide to go master degree in data science which will be benificial for me for international company.

Pros and cons

Placement Experience:

Placement or internship depends on the course Duration . Overall placement is good . The highest package is 1cr/ yr. And the average package 2to3 lakh/ yr. After getting the bsc. degree in Forensic science, I want to prepare for compitive exam or prepare for higher studies.

Remarks:

Pros:The teachers very very helpful and friendly. Loans and scholarships available. Faculties are highly qualified. Infrastructure is awesome. Cons: no placement. No stipends There wasn’t any hostel facility. Canteen could be developed.
