Course Curriculum Overview

5

As I'm from Commerce Background, it was my wish to pursue BCOM HONS, as this course includes subjects related to accounting, management and marketing. And I have a keen interest in these fields. The teaching methods used by the teachers in our college do not require any changes. They try to teach the lessons by giving real life examples

Internships Opportunities

5

Google, Amazon, Flipkart,Myntra and there are many other companies located in Gurgaon who have offered placements in our college. They are MNCs, giving chance to the students to gain some practical knowledge.

Placement Experience

5

The last year students are eligible for campus placements. There are alot of companies who have visited the campus and have done campus recruitment at a large scale, Like Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, etc. The offers are only made to the students who have the practical knowledge also. The highest package is around 11-12 lakhs p.a. whereas the average goes around 6-7 lakhs per year. The percentage of the students getting placements is moderate. Not too much students from the campus get jobs through campus recruitment, but the one who deserves to, absolutely get it. My plans after getting my BCOM HONS DEGREE is to give an attempt for CAT ENTRANCE EXAMS AND CRACK IT. for getting admission into TOP BUSINESS SCHOOLS OR IIMS.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees I would be paying for my course (BCOM HONS) per year is approximate 20,000. This includes the tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, lab fees and other compulsory charges as well. The fees of almost every course in the college is minimal and anyone can afford it. Our college also provides scholarships and financial aids to the student who perform exceptionally well in their academics and at the same time, give them the opportunity to maintain their CGPA.

Campus Life

5

Our college organises various events and programs on a regular basis. There are many seminars held at regular intervals on various topics. The name of the yearly college fest is SPLENDOUR. There are alot of famous faces who become a part of the event and at the same time, making students excited. The sports and activities offered on the campus includes Chess, Basketball, Football, Cricket, Table Tennis, Taekwondo.

Admission

I got this college through Entrance Exam (CUET). My cuet score was 602. And This college was at my 27th preference. I accepted the seat in first round only and didn't applied for upgradation. The admission process for our college is through CUET only. Our college don't accept admission at merit basis.

Faculty

5

There are almost 100-120 students in each class. The faculty-student relationship is very friendly in our college. The students are free to ask, solve their doubts with their teachers. At the same time, the faculty members are also very supportive and polite. They try their best to help the student. The faculty members I liked the most is my FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING TEACHER "RITU VATS" MA'AM. She is very sweet and polite. She has a very loving nature. She is best in all her explanations and even motivates the students at their lowest. The faculty member I didn't liked is NO ONE. ALL THE FACULTY MEMBERS ARE GOOD AND GENUINE. The exams are quite easy or we can say that if a person starts studyinh seriously just prior 1 month to the exams, he/she can score exceptionally well.

Interview Experience

5

Yes, I gave the entrance test of CUET (Common University Entrance Test) for getting admission in Delhi University. I scored 602 out of 800. And got Ram Lal Anand College, South Campus in First Allocation Round.

Night Life

5

There is one Cafeteria in our college. And the prices of the food items here are also moderate But the taste is not so satisfying or good. The Library is the most favourite place of the college for me. The timing for the library are from 8:00 am to around 8:00 pm in the evening. The library remains open for almost 12-13 hours. and the students who are preparing for competitive exams get a lot of benefit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
