Likes
- No tension of attendance. GTU has minimum 75% policy but this college would ignore your attendance
- Affordability. Very less fees compared to private colleges
- Easy to get into. Very low cutoff for other branches unlike CE and EC. So very easy to get admission
Dislikes
- Faculty. Faculty is very bad unhelpful. Very bad teaching.
- No college culture. Students only come for exams. No sports or clubs i college. Also no events happen in our college.
- Bad connectivity. Very hard to reach college. No buses go there. Private rickshaw take higher charges for college as it very far from main city. Most of students walk to college.
Course Curriculum Overview
No good curriculum. Worse curriculum. GTU is bad when it comes to teaching useful things. 20 year old syllabus still taught. Most of things are outdated. Teaching is already worse and bad syllabus makes it even worse. GTU end semester exam are the only time students study.
Fees and Financial Aid
Here , government is basically providing you free education. There is yearly ?1500 fees. There will be extra university fees as per part of semester exams. Also to avail scholarship you need to fill some forms released by government. However these scholarships are only for SC/ST students.
Campus Life
No campus life. Hostel is in very bad condition. Students usually live in PG or rented rooms. No annual festival or monthly events. Library is bad. Not usable. Faculty is bad and doesn't responds properly when asked for help. Lab are in even worse condition. Students barely attend any lab session due to it. There is no sports activities on campus. There are 2 student run clubs in college, Clud IDE and E cell
Admission
No other good college in the cutoff range as this college. I applied to LDCE and VGEC. Admission proiis fairly well easy. Only ACPC is there. GUJCET, 12 th board and JEE scores are considered in ACPC counselling. You get rank and according to rank you can fill choices and get the college. 95% seats are filled through GUJCET and 5% through JEE
Faculty
Very bad faculty. No good faculty out there. Every proffesor would is useless and just torcher you for assignments. Can't take name of faculties but very bad teaching and unhelpful. Even basics concepts are not cleared in classes. Doubts aren't solved . There is only one exam by college and that is midsemester. It is fairly easy and it contains GTU syllabus.
Night Life
No gym, no cafe. No proper public area in college. Worse campus ever. Not a single proper hangout spot. Canteen is there but it is too bad. Campus timing is 10 am to 6 pm. Locality is far from main city so dangerous to roam at night as there are slums around our campus area.
