Course Curriculum Overview
For any student interested in metals or materialistic properties should opt for this branch.The curriculum designed for this branch includes biology,c language, basic of electrcial and electronics,value education for all round development of a student.There is around 55-65 days between the mid semester and end semester examinations
Internships Opportunities
Intership opportunities are offered from the 3rd year of the course.Internship was provided by various companies by ,cognizant,afcons, capgemini,etc.Many of the intership are paid internship.Interns were given various projects at time of intership.
Placement Experience
Our placement statistics is excellent and many jobs were offered by various companies.Companies provided internship from 3rd year onwards.Placments are from 4th year.Around 1300+ jobs were offered with 98% placement having 1.20 Cr highest and average turns out to be 14 LPA.Companies like Amazon, Google,Tata,Sail,etc hire the students .
Fees and Financial Aid
Total course fees including fooding and lodging turns out to be 9 lakh 20 thousand rupees.In this, Tution fees is 5 lakh which is waived for SC/ST and below 1 lakh annual family income students.Other fees like registration fees,lab fees, medical fees ,mess advance sums up to 4 lakh 20 thousand which is compulsory to all the students.There are many scholarships available for the students from NIT ROURKELA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.
Campus Life
My overall campus experience is very nice.Infrastructure of the institute is excellent.The institute has many clubs for students to develop their skills.Institute conducts many fests throughout the year which includes Cosmopolitan(multi ethnic fest),Innovision (tech fest),Vriddhi(sports fest),etc.Library has a very wide range of books.Various sports and game facilities are available including cricket, hockey, football,table tennis, swimming,chess, Classroom has a smart board and two projectors for better visibility
Hostel Facilities
Registration process for hostel is from the admission day .A room for accommodation of capacity of two students was alloted.Room includes two beds,two chairs,one study table,one fan , and a common long shelf.Outside the room washing machine is also available.Meal quality and menu is descent.
Admission
I choosed this college as it is the one of the best NIT among all the NITs and nearby to my residence.The eligibility criteria is simple student should have physics, chemistry and maths in his/her 12th grade/equivalent exam and clear the JEE examination.JEE examination includes JEE MAINS and JEE ADVANCED .For getting into this college only JEE MAINS is required.
Faculty
All the faculties are highly qualified from the premieres institutes over the world.A relationship is developed between faculties and students from the start of classes.They are very supportive and helpful.Exam Pattern is like this: TA-20 MARKS,MID SEMESTER-30 MARKS and END SEMESTER -50 MARKS.Question paper is of subjective pattern and difficulty level is moderate.Course curriculum is relevant in all aspects as it includes courses other than your current branch.
Night Life
Nightlife experience is full of joy as the classess are over and students are free to wonder inside the campus.Campus includes Hexagon,Dosaplaza for eating purposes, big building roof tops for nightsky and many more.Hostel includes gym facilities, singing room,TV room,study room.
