Satisfied with college facilities

Positive - great infrastructure and support. Special recruitment cell. Negative - Location. As it is located in very interior, so transport is a real issue still. Overall a good college where students can make a great future (Especially who has the perception that good colleges exist only in metro cities.

Course curriculum is very brief and technical. We have 8 semesters in total for engineering. In six months there is end of semester exam taken and according to the grades we get our SGPA is calculated.

Placements usually start happening from 6th semester. This is one of the oldest colleges of WBUT ( Now MAKAUT) and has a good reputation in terms of campus interviews. Almost 45 to 50 % students get their job before 7 the Semester.

We have a college fest usually happen in February. There are lot of cultural activities. Blood donation camps are also organized when possible. Cricket and football tournaments conducted regularly. Saraswati Puja is celebrated by the students and teachers also take a valuable part in that.

Fee structure is definitely expensive if you take in to account the government engineering colleges. However, the fee structure of private engineering colleges are almost same. I graduated in 2008. Those days the fees were still kind of almost affordable for the middle class bracket but over the time it has increased exponentially.

I have not opted or availed any loan so have very less information about it. Although I have seen few of my friends having study loan but not sure they got it directly from the bank or college played any special role in that. Same goes for scholarship as well.

Labs are very well equipped with great lab assistants. There are cricket field, basketball and badminton court. We have inter college competition as well. The college has a good taste in music. Students participate in inter college band competitions.

We always got a great help from the seniors. Especially during my campus interview period, my seniors helped me a lot. Nowadays it is easier to keep in touch with friends and seniors. Every year we have reunions and it is great to see them back in the same institution even after graduating a decade ago.

I took the WB JEE after 12 the board exam. So according to the rank and the availability of the stream I wanted, I chose this college in the counseling which was held in Kolkata. As this college is under Techno India group, I took the admission in the Kolkata office.

The faculties are very educated and experienced. They not only have the knowledge but have the potential also to explain and make almost every student understand also. Every department has an H.O.D respectively.
