Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum has changed from the previous year as per the new NEP policy and they have made a choice for two subjects from 4 and that is a very good step in the firld of education. In the current scenario the curriculum is apt as nowadys we need practical knowledge over theoretical knowledge. It depend on us , as how we look into the thongs that we get.
Internships Opportunities
I have been part of the Jeet tournament which is a intra college tournament there we don't have any stipend , its a non paid internship. I have also worked in the Mumbai Ultra Marathon . And i also got the golden opportunity to be part of the Sports Authority of Indians meeting with Maharashtra Government for the MoU signing ceremony.
Placement Experience
There are campus placements and the college helps all the students to get into good position. There is a compulsory internship from the 3rd semester for all the students. The avaerage package for a undergraduate Sports Management professional would range from 3 to 5 lakhs . My major plan is to get into either Analytics or Sales side.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly amount that every student has to pay is in between 2 to 3 Lakh. The total amount for doing Bachelor's of Sports Management at IISM is around 8 Lakh Indian rupee. I have seen an increase in the fee structure from the last year as it was around 6 to 7 lakh in the last academic year as per my knowledge . And the only reservation is for SC community and that is not actually known to me .
Campus Life
The major festivals is the Jeet its an inter college football game and there is Junoon which is intra college games. Also there are celebration like Ganesh chaturthi, Holi,Onam ,Christmas and most of the festivals.
Hostel Facilities
The college doesn't provide any hostel facilities for the students rather they gave the contact details of the paying guest owner. I am not sraying in a hostel, i have taken accommodation as a paying guest they charge with ? 12500 per month. And we have a kitchen and a 2 bhk . I cook my food by my own.
Admission
IISM is the best college in India providing the sports management course because there are few college who are coming forward with sports courses but IISM started the course from the past 14 years. I have appiled to Jain University and i got selection but choose IISM over Jain. The major eligibility criteria is SMAT exam folled by an interview.
Faculty
* The relationship between a student and a faculties are very good and all the faculties are always ready to help the students and ready to clear all their doubt. The best faculty in my personal opinion as a First year student would be Dennis sir . There are exam one internal exam as well as the semester exam. Rather than that we have two assignments for each subject.
Night Life
There is a cafeteria and library which are free of access to all the students at time of the working hours. There is no hostel facilities provided till date and the timing of the college is from 8:30 to 6:30 from Monday to Saturday. The college is having a peaceful library as well as cafeteria for the students and there are cafeteria in the second floor with are not part of the college but the students can access it for free.
