Remarks
The only problem is the timing of the BCOM m and attendance. The college starts at 6am! Yes you read that right. Also the attendance is minimum 75% and you get 2/5 marks for that. The main strength is the brand name of the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well diversified. Exam structure is seminars, attendance, CIA(mid sems) semester exams. Marks alloted are 5,5,10,80 respectively.There are a total of six semesters and total of 3 years.
Placement Experience
there is a placement cell designed for such activities. All the big shot companies come to hire students. Yes, internships are also provided. 1 month of internship is also compulsory. The stipend however is very low.
College Events
It is impossible to list the events in this college as each an every day an event is occuring. Every month there is a fest with 100s of competition going on with exciting and attractive prizes. There are various socities which organise such events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is expensive. It is around ?60000 per year and taking whole curriculum into consideration an approximate amount of ?200000-250000 has to be spent. This is very high as compared to other colleges in kolkata
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers scholarships to underprivileged and academically brilliant students. Also scholarships are sponsored from outside as well. There is nothing like a loan facility available in the college. The authorities are approachable about such issues if required.
Campus Life
There are various inter deprtment and inter college sports events like cricket ,football ,hockey ,basketball etc. There are computer labs and also a new finance lab is on its way. There might be science labs for other departments.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students are extremely helpful. They will approach you by themselves as soon as the lists are out and will help you with the admission procedure and every single thing until you are senior yourself.
Admission
We need to enter our marks in the online application form and then the merit list is out. After your name turns up in the merit list you are called for an interview and you pay your admission fees on that day itself.
Faculty
The faculty is brilliant. The best you will find in Kolkata. Teachers are always helpful and take out time even after college to help you. Syllabus is completed withinn time and notes are given in class.
