Course Curriculum Overview

4

Once again i would say determination of course structure is a matter of delhi university as a whole but in terms of teaching methods teachers can be more engaging to students in their teaching style snd can focus more on giving new learning opportunities rather than to being engaged in disseminating a culture of rot learning. Also curriculum needs to get modernised a little bit. I am pursuing bachelor of commerce and i opted for this course because i was veru unaware about plenty other options and rest not having maths in 12th class eliminated ones that i knew.

Internships Opportunities

5

There is an internship based society "ENCODE" In the college that fairly gives internship opportunities with many of the companies across various sectors where stipend and experience differs. Many of the internships cover Sales, HR and social media mgt. Apart from that Principal Internship Scheme with stipend around ?5000 is there in the college itself. Also Vice Chancellor Internships are there with summer and winter cycles.

Placement Experience

3

I never did seek a placement from my college and hence i haven't got enough knowledge about it but based on my rough understanding and after some conversations followings are my observations: 1)Students get eligible in third year. 2)Companies like Deloitte visit in our college and approx 30-40 offers are made. 3)I can give idea about average package only this is around 5 LPA. My plans after graduation is to get involved in taxation.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yearly fee paid varies per year. My first year fee was 13505 and second year fee was 16770. There is one scholarship available named as student aid fund where one can get his fee refunded to some extent. Sometimes 100% reimbursement is there too. Also there very minimum around ?150 fee for PWD. Although i didnt observe any special fee structure for any category, there can be some scholarship based on this criteria.

Campus Life

5

Campus life can be a highlight of my graduation life as i never did so much fun ever before. Society who feels Home, Library abundant with books of all disciplines, Laboratory for maths commerce and geography departments. Sports room accessible to all . Multiple whatsApp groups to notify with various notifications and updates. Our college encourages sports such as volleyball basketball and cricket football etc. One thing for sure the infrastructure of our college is much better than many of DU colleges.

Admission

Delhi University accepts CUET as an entrance exam and thereafter a CSAS based admission process begins for counselling. To get allocated a college a preference list based on college and course combination is filled by student and based upon his marks he gets the same. In my preference list i ranked the college 10th with my course bcom hons. Obviously colleges such as SRCC and KMC were ahead in my list. You get college based on your scores and i could only score 700/800 so got this college with EWS based reservation.

Faculty

4

So beginning with faculty teachers, my opinion is subjective here as I liked the behaviour and teaching style of Prof. Neha Nainwal and Prof. Nisha Gupta the most as she helped me with my doubts with my mentoring needs a lot. Every single faculty teacher is approachable any time and they are very helpful whether in terms of assignment, your attendance, your life anything. Every program that you opt for in Delhi University for UG has 7 subjects and there is CGPA grading, semester based scheme. Both internals and theory have almost similar weightage of 70 and 90 respectively. Having done 10 year PYQs especially shivdas books can do enough to you except for some subjects like accounting and maths. In my college, students do get back mostly because of their detention owing to low attendance only. Course curriculum is decent having included practical applications of practical subjects like accounts and maths. Course curriculum in whole is matter of Delhi Univeristy as a whole and not just this college. "Exams level are decent neither tough nor very easy".

Night Life

3

I don't have any description about night life here in this college as classes end as soon as 7 to 8 pm in max cases 9pm . Also the college "doesn't have Hostel". No gym like thing but a canteen with all kinds of item one can expect. There is library in the college with every sort of books newspapers magazines etc. As multiple PGs are there around the college you can always find some of the students roaming but not too safe late night definitely.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
