SVNIT Surat

The course structure and curriculum is updated according to the current market trends. The relevancy of the course with what the industry requires is 100%. They don't teach us useless topics which won't be helpful in future but only the relevant things.

I don't have much knowledge about internship tight now as I am a student in first year only, but as I have talked with seniors and took information from them, there are good internship opportunities in SVNIT.

The placements are good at SVNIT. Also other than placements, many students from SVNIT go for businesses after getting graduated. Located in gujarat, SVNIT offers great startup culture along with the business mindset, which many students opt for. Apart from that placements are also good. Both on and off campus placements take place where top companies from all over india come for recruiting young engineers.

For first year admission, tution fees was 90000/- and hostel+mess fees was 38380/- for general candidates. No other fees has to be paid. I don't know much about scholarship as I didn't avail any. The course is affordable I feel.

There are various annual and technical fests held in our college. The annual fest Sparsh takes place typically in February end, it marks one of the biggest festivals of central India. With so many cultural activities, dj night, celebrity night etc. It's overall a really fun and refreshing event that happens for student. Apart from sparsh, other fests also happen like litfest etc. also there are multiple clubs and communities in the college that the students can join starting from second semester. These clubs help students to keep their inner artists alive and pursue their passion. They can continue their hobby even after getting into college with the help of these clubs.

Hostel facility at SVNIT is really good. Specially the girls hostels are so good. Very well maintained and cleanliness is taken care of. Also the hostel staff is also helpful and very kind to talk to. They cooperate with the students and take care of the students needs all the time . You can contact them anytime for help.

I got admission into Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat through jossa counselling after clearing jee mains. Through jossa counselling I had put SVNIT Surat in my list of choices because of various reasons. First thing was the course that I am pursuing along with its relevance and comprehensiveness. The location of the college made me put it top in the list . Also the curriculum here is not like other colleges, it's renewed and updated now keeping the industry and market demands in check. To get admission in SVNIT , the student needs to clear jee mains and apply for jossa or csab counselling. Also the students should have decent percentile according to the requirement of various courses of SVNIT, then only they can get admission in this college.

Some of The faculties are really good, while some are average. The faculty to student ratio is good, there is no shortage of faculties. Also the strength of the class is not much which makes it easier for the faculty to interact with the students. They are well knowledged and degree holders. Teachers clear doubts without making a fuss about it, in short yes they are approachable.

Nightlife in surat is not much happening. Surat is a quiet place, people roam around the parks and markets during evening. But usually most of the city sleeps by eleven at night. Rest in the morning and evening, you will get everything here, be it cafe, restaurant, library, gym, clubs, parks etc. Whatever you want will be available in surat.
